• Chateau De Chaumont Sur Loire - 14:45 - 16:00 Arrive at Château de Chaumont-sur-Loire. Founded in the 10th century and rebuilt in the 15th century by Charles I d’Amboise, it has been a protected historical monument since 1840 and is owned by the French state. In 1559, Catherine de Medici compelled Diane de Poitiers to accept Château de Chaumont in exchange for Château de Chenonceau. Diane de Poitiers spent her last three years here.

16:00 Depart for Château de Blois. The drive takes about 20 minutes.

It was home to several French kings, and Joan of Arc visited in 1429 to receive a blessing from the Archbishop of Reims before leading her army against the English.
