Delicious food tour with a great guide - We enjoyed all of the food on our tour and especially liked Ife (or Ifé?) our tour guide. He was very kind and engaging and knew a lot about the food and Le Marais. We loved the first place we went to - a patisserie. The raspberry macaron was the best I’ve ever had and the small caramel cakes were divine. We liked the assortment of cheeses we had and the wine that was paired with it. The onion soup was delicious. And the macarons we had at the end were also delicious.

Le Marais through the eyes of a local - Daniel was amazing! He took us on a lovely guided tour through Le Marais in Paris. Very knowledgeable and personable. We enjoyed all the food stops and people watching. I would definitely do another tour with him again.

Food tour with Daniel highlight of our trip - We took the private food tour in La Marais with Daniel and it was just phenomenal. We are a family with 3 kids ages 8-13. First of all the neighborhood and setting is amazing. Beautiful Sunday day helps too. Daniel had the perfect stops, the perfect food, wine for me :), so much historical narrative that was easy to digest for kids as well. We discovered mosaics on the buildings and the teddy bears in the balconies (and why), along with the oldest building in Paris, that one must make bread in order to sell it, the origin of the farmers market, how macarons were a tool for diplomacy and much more. Of course croissants, macarons, onion soup, chocolates and falafel were involved. The day went by so quickly and my kids still talk about it. We would repeat this tour in the next trip. Amazing neighborhood as well with great shopping, art and fashion. Thank you LIV TOURS and Daniel, for giving us these memories.

Chocolate, Macarons and More - This was a terrific introduction to Le Marais and some of the most iconic French cuisine. Our tour guide, Diane, was very knowledgeable and shared a lot about French culture, along with the food. A great way to spend our first evening in Paris!

My family's favorite thing that we did in Paris. - The food tour was our favorite thing that we did on our trip. I wish we could have Daniel as our guide for all of our tours. He was so knowledgeable and interesting. He felt like a friend as he walked us from historic spot to delicious food stop. I wish I was a better writer because my family’s enjoyment of Daniel’s tour is not done justice by this description.

Disappointing Food Experience - Audrey was a good tour guide and is very knowledgeable of downtown Paris. However, it was overpriced. We were told to “come hungry” as we were going to experience lots of food and drink on the tour. The food consisted of: a croissant, a macaroon, a piece of chocolate, charcuterie (with one glass of wine), a puffed pastry and French onion soup (with one glass of red wine). With a price tag of just under $1,000 USD for 6 people we were all disappointed in the tour. We had much higher expectations and much greater meals at that price.

Cheap food, High prices - Our guide was great. But the food was TERRIBLE. It’s insulting to French food to offer what was offered for 500 €. We’ve been in Paris for 5 days it was by far the worst food of our entire trip. You are paying for a guide to walk you into a bakery and order you a croissant. You also are paying to be walked into a cafe and ordered and cheese and charcuterie board. These are all things you can do for yourself. The cafes are cheap and low quality in terms of food and wine. I didn’t even eat at the last stop because the soup was so bad and the wine so cheap. Save your money and for this price do 2 (or more) nice lunches or dinners.
