Highly Recommend - Perfect way to see the Louvre with our 3 children ages 6, 9 & 11. The scavenger hunt book kept the kids interested and moving through the museum. Two hours was perfect time and flew by. Highly recommend

Amazing Family Adventure - We did multiple tours in Paris and London over ten days with seven family members of three generations. It would not have been possible without the expert assistance starting with Dominique, who planned our visit and Sonia in Paris and Catherine in London, who were excellent guides. They engaged the teenagers and made sure the grandparent using a wheelchair was accommodated. Every tour was informative, well paced, and fun! They took such good care of our group, making adjustments as needed for traffic, kids' jet lag, etc. The kids' favorites were the Street Art and Baking Macarons workshops in Paris and the speedboat on the Thames in London. Everyone loved the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Tower of London and Hampton Court. There was just the right amount of history and fun facts to keep everyone going. Thank you to Meet the Locals for making this a trip of a lifetime for our family.

Fantastic Family Experience - Just wanted to drop a quick review letting everyone know how my family and I highly recommend the Louvre, Sainte Chapelle, Tuktuk Paris tour - special shout out to our guide, the amazing Lauren. My kids absolutely loved the treasure hunt at the Louvre. We did a handful of other tours during our Europe trip and this was by far the best.

Not skip-the-line but a great guided first taste - Two hours would never do justice to the Louvre of course - but we chose this to ensure our 13 and 11 year olds got a feel for the place whilst not missing out any of the most famous exhibits. Cindy was very personable and knowledgeable about the museum and its contents, as you would expect. She did an admirable job maintaining a level of enthusiasm and engagement with two children who had not slept enough the night before. For the purpose for which we purchased the tour, I would not hesitate to give it five stars. One point which could be made clearer is that you may still need to spend 20+minutes at the start clearing security as the entry tickets get no special treatment - which was a little disappointing given the price of the tour. Other than that minor niggle - five stars and highly recommended as a first taster of the Louvre.

Meet the Locals are Outstanding! - The six of us, four adults and two young children, recently visited Paris for six days. We wanted to visit both Musee d Orsay and the Louvre. We didn’t want to spend most of the time waiting in lines and we wanted a plan to see the good stuff. So we engaged Meet the Locals to guide us. A wise choice At the Musee d Orsay Fernanda was our guide. As an employee there she got us through the lines and knew the place like the back of her hand. Her English was perfect, she was personable and knew her subject matter. She explained the great works with just the amount of background to keep us all engaged. An outstanding young lady! At the Louvre we signed up for the Treasure Hunt to engage the grandkids. Our guide was Tatiana. She completely captivated our grandchildren. They were excited about the hunt, had fun and learned a lot about the art. Two days well spent producing a lifetime of memories.

Family excursion at the Louvre - Excellent family experience!! Jessica was amazing. Our boys were engaged and very much enjoyed the learning activities. We were able to see many of the key works of art in a well organized set of activities. One of the highlights of our family vacation to Paris.

Great private tour of the Louvre - worth the price! - We were so happy with our Meet the Locals reservation experience. It was very easy to set up the private family tour about a month before our trip. We communicated via email and paid ahead. On the days leading up to the tour, we received confirmation emails and then the day before, we received information on where to meet, along with a landmark outside of the museum. Marcel was our tour guide and she was right on time. She was lovely! She took us to the line (tickets were purchased on our behalf ahead of time) and we were inside in no time at all. We did a 9:30am tour and we liked being on the early side, less crowds. Marcela made the tour interesting for me and my husband and our 12 year old son. She was very knowledgeable! Highly recommend!

Average guided tour of the Louvre - We booked the Family treasure hunt private tour at the Louvre, timed entry. Our tour was suppose to start at 9am. Our family arrived on time at 8:45am. Our guide was a little late, few min. We waited to enter and then proceeded. Our tour didn’t actually start until 9:20am and it was suppose to be for 2hours. Our tour ended at 10:55am. I was expected actual two hours with our guide exploring the Louvre, and instead we got 1.5hr. She had an activity book for my two young ones but basically ended it went the 2hr window was over. Beware it’s not actually two hours, but they include the time it takes to enter. I also had a teen louvre tour booked for the same time. We were a large party and the tour guide on that one had to check in her battery for her bike and we all entered at the same time. She also finished about 11:15 am (only 2hours instead of 2.5hr). I think the guide should have been able to show more and explain more. And for what the company charges, I felt it was very expensive and I didn’t get what I paid for. Beware that your actual tour will be shorter than the time listed.
