Lake Gatun - We will pick you up at your accommodation in downtown of Panama City to go by car to the Chagres river, highlighting several points of interest on the way there, where we will take a boat and get into the Panama Canal. We will pass by huge ships and experience the scale and importance of this magnificent marvel of engineering. Inside the Canal, at the Gatun Lake, we will arrive at a group of islands in a protected area in order to see as many species of animals as possible, among them monkeys, crocodiles, birds, iguanas, sloths and others.
You will identify animals and develop your vision to spot them.
This is an extraordinary and memorable experience, completely outdoors and that you will enjoy a lot!
Note: This tour is going outdoors (jungle and a lake) therefore there is not access to a toilet, it is suggested to use the bathroom before pick up time that will be informed the night before the tour.

Up Close and Personal with the Monkeys - Our boat tour was something special with both the tour guide and the boat guide able to bring us to Monkey Island and get the monkeys to interact with us. They were able to use their Monkey calls to get the Monkeys to come on the boat. We were able to see and interact with all 3 types of Monkeys native to the area.

Fantastic time on the canal - My wife and I booked the private trip and it was definitely worth it. Our guide, Alcey(?) was friendly and knowledgeable about the area and a good driver in heavy traffic. After arriving to Gatun Lake, we boarded a small boat. It was a beautiful ride through some of the small islands and the captain stopped and called for monkeys at quite a few spots. It wasn't looking promising, but we did see bats resting in the morning shade, birds and iguanas. The captain then spotted some small titi monkeys and nestled the boat against the island and called to it. Meanwhile, Alcey tossed some grapes on the bow. They really went after the banana. There were probably about five of them. Next, a capuchin appeared. I held a grape on the palm of my right hand and he lightly jumped on my left arm, snatched the grape and hopped back on a palm tree. He came and got a few more grapes, savoring each one. We really had a great time and the price was a GREAT BARGAIN compared to the prices available on the cruise ship!

It is a fun trip - We see the container sailing next to our boat in the lake. Our tour guide is Luis and he is very experience. He knows where to find the monkeys. I saw 3 different type of monkeys. 1 of them is the small one same as in the webpage. They are on the tree, standing in front of the boat and 1 even jump into our boat. I have a lot of fun from the trip. I choose this tour because I want to see the wild lives in stead of the shelter animal. This trip has what I expected.

Gatun Lake wildlife tour - It was so much fun…zipping along on a speedy boat on the Panama Canal! The Capuchin monkeys were the highlight of this tour. Our guide Alex was great at getting them to interact with us. We saw three different kinds of monkeys as well as a huge green iguana. My husband and I loved it!!

Boating and Wildlife Enjoyed! - It was very cool to be in the Panama Canal where the oceans come together. The best highlight was seeing the local landscapes and feeding the monkeys. Our tour guide Alex did a great job!

Wonderful time on the Panama Canal! - The views were beautiful and the tour was so immersive. Our guide Dan was awesome and went above and beyond. We learned about the Canal and fed monkeys by hand!

Great Tour - I was looking for a shorter, thorough tour, and this one was perfect. Fernando was an excellent guide—his English was good, and he was attentive and knowledgeable. We saw bats, iguanas, various birds, and three species of monkeys. We also got up close to massive cargo ships from our small boat, which gave us a sense of the scale of the Panama Canal. Overall, it was a wonderful morning and exactly what I was hoping for.
