The only way to really see the Panama Canal - Loved our transit of the canal southbound. Smooth sailing all the way from pickup at the marina on the parkway right through to the end. Friendly service with just the right amount and volume of overhead annnouncing to learn on the trip but still make conversation and make new connections with others. Food was surprisingly good! Note that if you are heat sensitive, the early morning Northbound transit may be a better option.

One Way through the Panama Canal - Well organized, friendly staff. We considered (but the dates were not available) the full day trip through the canal, but this was more than enough. Bus ride (about an hour) to the boarding ship was smooth and comfortable. we were on board and passed through 3 canal locks on the way south back to the departing location. Great tour.

Educational and fun! - The transit was smooth from the bus ride, embarkation, lunch, locks, and disembarkation. A lot of information is provided along the way and there is plenty of room gor different views on the ship.

Spectacular!!! - This experience was wonderful from start to finish. From the moment we arrived at the dock, the speed with which check-in was handled and the friendliness of the entire staff was impressive. Our guide, Edwin, was excellent. Not only for all the knowledge he shared from the moment we boarded the bus and throughout the canal crossing, but also for his friendliness and ability to keep us entertained. The food was very good and if you are a vegetarian you will find options. It is important to emphasize that since the time it takes to pass through the locks is controlled by the Canal personnel, not the tour guides, you should be prepared to perhaps have to wait a long time for everything to be ready and for the ship to be given the go-ahead to pass through the locks. Still, the experience was spectacular and we recommend it 100%.

Once in a lifetime but be prepared.... CROWDED - This was a once in a lifetime experience and I was glad to have done it. However, the boat was fully packed - seats were hard to find, children running everywhere. Lots of downtime and wait on the canal captain and the canal - but that is to be expected and in no control of the tour operator. The food was questionable - 200 people in a huge line with no real sanitary precautions. I was wary but others said the flavor was good. My advice - pack a bag of snacks and games/toys/books - lots of sunscreen and water and as much patience as you can muster. If you are at all claustrophobic this could be challenging. I would have paid 5x the price for a tour with a smaller number of persons!
