Our guide Ruben was... - Our guide Ruben was really knowledgeable and helpful, and he put so much effort into making sure that each person in our group had the pictures that they wanted when we arrived at the waterfall, and that there was ample time at the waterfall and the village where we had a lovely lunch and time dancing with the village with the locals.

10 out of 10 recommend - Had an amazing experience getting to explore the village. Kareem helped coordiante the pickup at my airbnb smoothly and also planned a stop to get $3 water shoes(crocs) to survive the hike and waterfall. Later met up with Clement and I highly recommend the waterfall option its a cool experience and you travel via canoe, hike through the jungle and get to experience the beautiful waterfall (swimming is optional, and there are safe ways to access the waterfall). You take the canoe back to the village, learn more about the indigenous culture, they provide an amazing lunch, have you participate in a native dance and they give you a tour. Lastly, you get the option to get a temporary tattoo or buy trinkets to support the villagers at a small outdoor shop.

Chagres National Park - The experience was exactly as described. The place is beautiful, the indigenous community is organized and welcoming, and the food is very good. Our guide Rubén clearly explained the country’s history and the itinerary we were doing. He accompanied us throughout the entire trip, giving us relevant information and making sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the activity. He also took photos and shared them, so we could enjoy the outing even more. I 100% recommend it.

Thanks Ruben! - This was one of my favorite tours. Ruben was awesome! Knowledgeable, kind and funny. The other travelers were also delightful. Warning - you need some athleticism for this journey. I am almost 60 and consider it a great feat that I only fell once 😂😂😂 I am a missionary so I travel all over the world. Meeting the Embrera Village community was truly an honor and I hope to return with my husband. Every part of this tour was worth the price.

Would go again. - In all my years of traveling, I’ve came across some tours. City, nature, big and small groups. Usually I am not a big fan of ppl dressing up for tourists, dance and “show off”, but this was one of the few tours I did like.
Staff was nice, they tried to get ppl moving, knew their stuff and background about the indigenous ppl. Charming, fun and accepted as part of the guru.
The tour was well organized plus free time to roam around the village. Food was prepared in leaves etc., and delicious.
Team Orlando and Clement- gracias, merci and Danke!

Long Ass Review Incoming…Because This Tour Was THAT GOOD! - Tour Date: 5/24/2026
My wonderful boyfriend already wrote a review, but I still felt the need to write my own because I truly wanted to make sure Clement and Aldo get all the praise and recognition they deserve.
This Emberá Village tour was honestly one of the most beautiful, peaceful, and memorable experiences of our trip to Panama.
The day started with hotel pickup, which I deeply appreciated because I have an absolutely terrible sense of direction and was already exhausted from getting lost and running late to things earlier in the trip. Our driver, Mr. Roberto, immediately made us feel comfortable. During the drive, he pointed out different areas, shared helpful information and local tips, and even took the time to evaluate the restroom stops for cleanliness before recommending which one would be best for us to use. It may sound small, but that level of thoughtfulness genuinely stood out to me.
From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of the warmth, hospitality, and kindness of the Emberá people, who were ready to welcome us and immerse us in their culture and way of life. The views were breathtaking, but more than that, there was this overwhelming sense of calm and peace that seemed to wrap around you like an old friend you haven’t seen in far too long. My boyfriend and I had both been stressed from the previous few days, and something about being there immediately softened all of that.
The natural surroundings were absolutely stunning. The hike to the waterfall and swimming there was peaceful, refreshing, and honestly one of the highlights of the entire adventure. Afterwards, we enjoyed delicious local food and fresh fruit at the village, which made the experience even more special. I will admit I secretly hoped for even more tropical fruit options, but that’s honestly just the greedy side of me talking because everything else was so wonderful.
A HUGE thank you to our guides, Clement and Aldo, who truly made this experience unforgettable. They were warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly organized throughout the entire day. Clement especially was phenomenal — you can tell he genuinely cares deeply about the Emberá community and has built real relationships there. The way he transitioned seamlessly between languages for everyone in the group while educating us about the culture was genuinely impressive.
Aldo was equally amazing. He showed us how to appreciate and connect with nature in such a beautiful way. Along the hike, he pointed out so many interesting things in the jungle, including a tarantula that my legs absolutely refused to stay and admire. 😂 He also welcomed us into his home and introduced us to his beautiful family, which made the experience feel incredibly authentic and personal.
This was easily one of the most fun and meaningful adventures I’ve ever been on, and I’ve done a lot of tours and adventures over the years. If you are visiting Panama, the Emberá Village tour is truly a must-do experience. It was the perfect way to end my first visit to Panama, and I’m incredibly grateful to Clement, Aldo, Mr. Roberto, and the entire Emberá community for welcoming us so warmly.
And as a final side note to whoever has the authority to do so — please give Clement a raise. Seriously. We could genuinely feel how much he cares about educating people on the importance of the Emberá culture and community. He was more than just a tour guide; he felt like someone on a mission to preserve, protect, and share something deeply meaningful with others. That passion absolutely came through, and it made this experience unforgettable.
Highly, highly recommend this experience to everyone.
P.S. Definitely did not get paid nor sponsored for this long-ass review. 😂 We paid full price — including all the fees — and would absolutely do it all over again. 💯😎😊
