• Miraflores Visitor Center - Witness the engineering wonders that raise cargo ships and ocean liners 80 feet above sea level into the Panama Canal. • Centro de Interpretacion de Ciudad del Saber - Learn all about the transition of part of the former US Canal Zone from a US Army Military Base into The City of Knowledge.
• Panama Canal Administration Building - We will tour around and make stops for photo opportunities around the town of Balboa, former capital of the US Canal Zone in Panama. We will discuss the architechture, the people, their history and the culture.
• Amador Causeway (Calzada de Amador) - We will drive along this causeway/wave break/land bridge, out to the three closest islands on the Pacific for the best view of the Panama City skyline and a now classic photo op with the huge colorful PANAMA sign!

This tour not only takes you to see the Panama Canal Miraflores Locks, which is one of the modern marvels of engineering in the world, but we will take you on a tour of the former US territory in Panama. Between 1904 and 1977, the complex history between the two countries, and the transition that lead the US to return the territory and grant Panama stewardship of the Canal.
