Street Food Walking Tour in Panama City - My husband and I had a great time participating in the Street food walking tour. Jonathan and Kowalski was very personable and knowledgeable about Panamanian history, culture, and food. My favorite dish of the tour was the Mackerel at Gato Negro.

If you want to see the real Panama City through food, take this tour - Jonathan took us through much more than a food tour. It was a tour of the neighborhood he grew up in using food as his compass. Not only was there authenticity in his words, but you could tell how connected he remains to the neighborhood. We ended up sampling 24 flavors, and every single one was delicious, from the food to the drinks to the desserts. And to walk through a real neighborhood provided a very authentic aspect to my first visit to Panama City. We even sat in on a neighborhood soccer match while he discussed his upbringing.
Not only should you take this tour, but I will gladly take this tour again the next time I’m in the city.

MUST DO TOUR with Jonathan! - This was an absolute immersive food and cultural adventure. Our tour guide (Jonathan) went way above what I have ever experienced in any food tour that I have participated in (and I’ve done many around the world). His knowledge of the city and the food/ vendor selections were top shelf. We truly learned about the importance of food to the culture!

One of the best!! - This was one of the best food tours I’ve done. They really show you what Panamá is all about and you get to discover the food scene as if you were a local. They are very knowledgeable and well organized. I had a great time and the tour operators are amazing!!

The best food tour in the world - The guides are amazing, telling me a lot about things about Panama and recommending that everyone who comes here to play can find them for a tour. Recommend every Taiwanese friend to visit Panama.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of My Favorite Experiences in Panama — So Much More Than Just Food - I honestly didn’t expect to be so moved by this tour. I signed up thinking it would be a fun way to try some local dishes, but what I got was so much more.
From the moment we started, I felt like I was being invited into someone’s neighborhood, someone’s story… not just taken around for bites. Jonathan and Elena were amazing guides—kind, attentive, and full of knowledge. You can feel how much they care about sharing the real side of Panama.
We explored an area I probably wouldn’t have discovered on my own. And thank goodness I did, because the food was unforgettable! We tried fresh ceviches, three different styles of fish (the one with coconut sauce absolutely blew my mind), and so many other dishes I lost count. Each place we stopped at had its own personality—and every bite tasted like it was made with love.
I really appreciated that the tour felt real. These weren’t tourist traps. They were small, local spots with people who clearly pour their heart into their cooking. It reminded me of home cooking—comforting, honest, and full of soul.
Oh, and the Geisha coffee? Incredible. I bought a bag to bring home and I’m still thinking about that secret coffee cocktail (seriously—don’t skip it!).
The tour ended with live music in the street, and the community invited us to dance and just enjoy the moment. It was the kind of day that fills you up—not just your stomach, but your spirit too.
If you want an experience that’s authentic, delicious, and filled with heart—this is it. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful Panama - It was a very wonderful tour, super chevere, in which each Panamanian food point was a trip in a ship of; flavors, textures, colors, smells, temperatures. You keep them in the chest of the best memories and experiences, of a gastronomic shift.
The weather didn’t accompany us as we expected, but it still didn’t stop us with the super hoods we were given for the rain. It also began to generate a strong heat, which did not stop our way with the super juices of the restaurant CATO NEGRO, right there we ate a fish, with an exquisite and unforgettable flavor. We walked and arrived at a soccer field, stopped with the super hoods we were given for the rain. It also began to generate a strong heat, which did not stop our way with the super juices of the restaurant CATO NEGRO, right there we ate a fish, with an exquisite and unforgettable flavor. We walked and arrived at a soccer field, outside this is a food truck and we ate delicious ceviche and rice with guandu.
At each stop it was a history of the place, while eating or while you were just trying it, also about Panama customs, part of ancient history.

A unique experience! - I loved this gastronomic tour. We tasted a variety of dishes, all very delicious and learned from the history and culture of Panama through its flavors (I am Panamanian and yet learned many things I did not know)
Jonathan and his team are the ultimate were very attentive always to make the experience memorable.
At the end of the tour we end up in a place where every Saturday the locals gather to dance salsa after the futbol games. This is the real Panama, always cheerful and warm!!
If you want to have an authentic experience, meet new people and have fun I recommend it 100% for tourists and locals alike.

Looking for more - One of the best experiences you can have if you know new flavors.
In all my years as a cook I am always on the lookout for “more”... But what “more” can a person refer to who has as passion to create new flavors, textures and experience on the palate?!?!
Well, here I found a part of that “more” because the tour is not only accompanied by different dishes and drinks, there are also the people who come from other sides, the stories behind each character and dish and fellow tour member that you can run into along this walk full of laughter, flavors, anecdotes, fun and that concludes in a party with locals playing salsa for one to dance and continue enjoying.
Elena and Jonathan are the living example of teamwork and the best guides you can find. Full of energy, good attitude and are the right people to show you those secrets that are hidden in plain sight and that many times you may not notice.
I recommend 10000000% this experience because I know it will be unforgettable and will also inspire you to be “more” you may be looking for.

Immersive, Authentic and Tasty Tour with Earpiece Technology so you don’t miss a thing! - I am not the type to go on Tours unless a local tells me that a tour is highly recommended. I had a Panamanian in my group as well as several people who live here along with a few visitors and all of us were blown away!
Jonathan safely navigated us through Casco Viejo, Santa Ana, and Chorillo. We were equipped with an earpiece so we could hear Jonathan explain the food and its origins clearly. He also provided rain ponchos when it rained and fans decorated with the Panama flag to beat the heat. You will not find another walking tour in Panamá with this technology along with authenticity by a Panamanian who grew up in and still lives in the neighborhood.
We were promised 24 bites, but got more bites than we bargained for as well as special drinks to liven up the walk!
I recommend even people who live here like me to go on this tour as we all learned about hidden gems we would have never known about! There are special items you will get on this tour that you will not get anywhere.
Jonathan is highly accommodating as well as a great storyteller and I highly recommend his bike tour which will take you through places no other bike Tour In Panamá will go!
