The hospitality & personal attention from Barefoot Panama set the tone for a perfect day in Panama City! - The personal attention was fantastic. Jorge picked us up at the airport and drove us around town while he kept track of the schedule for ships to go through the Panama Canal. There was some type of traffic jam at the Canal. He took us to a place at the mall called El Trapiche for lunch and I was very hesitant because I asked for authentic Panamanian food. He said "trust me" and I'm so glad I did! Everyone dining was a local and the food was delicious! He walked with us around Casco Viejo, including a fabulous coffee shop called Unido. We finally made our way to the Panama Canal just as a huge cargo ship was making its way through the channels. Perfect timing by Jorge! He then dropped us off at our hotel. The price included airport pickup, Panama Canel & iMax movie, plus a personal tour guide. We only spent 1 day in Panama City, and it was perfect. Highly recommend!!

More than I bargained for (in a good way)! - The views were all awesome. It was a treat to see Panama City, the Panama Canal and Casco Antiguo! The experience was so much more than a tour-it was like a crash course in Panama history! I have been on multiple tours with Barefoot Panama and all of them were excellent. The locations are beautiful and the vast kinowlege of the tour guides make a tremendous difference on the tours. The next time I visit Panama I will tour with them again.

Excellent tour. - Very complete tour with a knowledgeable guide. We were well looked after by Kevin throughout. He came to tell us when it was time for the IMAX movie to start at the Locks. When there was terrible traffic entering Casco Viejo Kevin knew an alternate way. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour.

Panama city day trip - great experience! exceeded expectations! our tour guide was Jorge. took us to the canal which is super impressive then we went to casco viejo which was a gem. lots of good souvenirs there. had a nice panamanian fish meal for lunch. then zipped over to the conservatory where we spotted sloths hanging out. well organized and stress free. definitely better than just going to the canal by yourself.

Fantastic visit to old Panama City and Canal zone - We're from Toronto and were visiting with our sisters and husbands from the UK. Jorge met us on time and drove us to old Panama City where we toured the Spanish Colonial buildings, which are very attractive, and wandered through the narrow streets. Jorge took us to a lovely coffee shop and explained all the local coffee varieties. We spent about 1.5 hours in the old town. Afterwards he took us to the Smithsonian Education center where there are aquariums with local sea life and students (who speak excellent english) to explain their backgrounds. There were also at least 10 wild sloths who live in the trees and which can be seen at quite close quarters - a special surprise! We then went for lunch in a typical Panama restaurant with local foods, although Jorge would take you anywhere you requested for lunch - lunch is at your own expense. Afterwards we went to the Miraflores locks and watched a tanker ship transit through - about 1 hour complete with explanations on the lock workings. There was also a 45 minute 3D IMAX film on the history of the canal which was great. Throughout the whole tour Jorge engaged us with interesting facts and was extremely friendly and helpful. We had booked this tour before leaving Canada and Kevin always responded rapidly to email enquiries. We highly recommend Barefoot Panama and will use them again!!

Excellent way to experience Panama City - Great day seeing the city and learning about it's history in a small group setting. Jesus was very informative and got us to all the highlights - and in spotting sloths :). So efficient getting us into the Panama Canal with pre-paid tickets and knew what time of day was best to go as the ships go through at different times. The price was fair, especially given it included entrance fees/pick up and drop off at our hotel. The communication with the company when arranging the tour was really great as well. Highly recommend!

Worth it! - Loved the tour including the walk in Casco Antiguo with the churches and the architecture. The Guide was awesome and knew how to make us enjoy the day.

Excellent overview of the city - This was extremely well rounded. We got to see a little bit of everything. It was a fabulous introduction and a good way to spend your first day in Panama, so you can see where you want to spend more concentrated time. Guide was excellent! Due to a national holiday, we were unable to go to the nature park, but they tried to show us sloths in the wild anyway, and we saw some!
