Outstanding bike tour in Casco Viejo! - This was one of the best bike tours we’ve ever done (and we’ve done a lot in many different countries). It rained off and on the whole time but our guide Jonathan was truly outstanding. We learned so much history and also about Panama and food. He took us to a big market and fish market. We were the only ones on the tour and we simply loved it. Thank you Jonathan! Lastly, we had an earpiece which was great. He explained so many things while we were biking along, instead of stopping and starting. Highly highly recommend.

Wonderful day on the Catamaran in Portobelo - We had a beautiful day. David and Bruno did an excellent job and provided a wonderful experience. I only wish it was a bit longer of an excursion for the price, but my crew did travel from Panama City, which likely drove up the price some- still wish we were out until closer to 4. You’ll be headed back by 2:30. Lunch was amazing, but you may want to bring snacks if a light (albeit delicious) lunch isn’t enough for you given the duration. This is just a suggestion- we were fine, but we are 3 rather petite women. Also- it’s byob, which is super cool and I wish we’d known prior bc we totally would have stocked the cooler. The snorkeling was incredible. Lots of wildlife to see in beautiful clear and warm water. I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Make sure you check out the fort and research the history- that’s where you’ll take your lancha to the catamaran to and from, and it’s pretty neat!

Excellent bike tour! - Of all the many bike tours I’ve done this was the best! Jhonathan really knew his city and we visited so many places, sampled juices at the market, got recommendations for great restaurants (we tried Oh My Bao and was excellent by the way!) and much much more. Highly recommend!

Close up navigation of old parts of PC. - Bike tour with Jonathon in Casco Viejo and environs- He shared so much history and stories of Panamanian culture, cared for our wellbeing , and offered us suco de Cana and other delicious refreshments. Very warm, dress lightly.

Old Town on two wheels - It is a great way to see lots of the old Town and market area. Would have liked more photos stops. Ear piece is a great way to hear as we biked. San Felipe market was awesome, tried local juice, candy and a meal at the market. Traffic can be intimidating. Lots of information. Pictures show PANAMA sign, tour doesn't go by there any more.. wanted that senic shot!

It was more of a walking tour with small bouts on the bike. - Overall I would say that our guide Jonathan was very knowledgable and clearly loves his city. We visited some interesting places. It was an eye opener at times, with certain areas of the city (the old historic area) being quite dirty and sketchy. I am open minded, and was half expecting this. BUT I felt he concentrated way too much on this. Its important to know what the other half lives like, but would have been nice to focus on the positive and see some more sites as opposed to focusing on the poverty that is present in every major city. Would have liked to have spent more time on the bikes and seeing more, and with the crazy midday heat, at no point, did Jonathan direct us as to where we could hydrate with water or purchase water, or even use a bathroom. essential for a 2-3 hour tour. The tour said water was provided - it was not. So bring your own and hydrate well.

Disappointing experience - I had been looking forward to visiting Panama City, but this tour and especially the guide ruined it for me. I booked the canal tour but because I was the only one I was asked to participate in the city & local markets tour. I agreed as it was last minute and didn't really have time to look for another tour. Unfortunately, the tour left a bitter taste in my mouth. The tour was supposed to be old city and local markets. But the markets close early in the afternoon, so there was no local market visit. Not sure why it's advertised for the afternoon tour if it's clear the markets would be closed. Jhonatan didn't seem very friendly at the start, felt like he didn't want to do the tour. The microphones and earphones were a good idea, but I wish the guide wasn't chewing on something the whole time, which was magnified through the mic and all I could hear in my ear was his chewing. The tour was around the old town and one of the neighbourhoods, which I enjoyed as I always look for local experience and every day life. Unfortunately, there was really no time for photos, I was hoping the guide would take a pic or two, like any other guides I've experience, but he just didn't seem that enthusiastic and it felt like he wanted to get it over and done with it. Beware, this tour is also available as a free tour, where you have to pay for a bike rental ($15) and then tip the guide as you see fit. I didn't feel like the tour was worth anything, but felt forced into giving Jhonathan money as he was practically standing there with his hand out. I don't recommend this particular tour/guide.
