Step aboard the planet’s biggest revolving tramcars and ascend into an untouched wilderness! It’s genuinely one of the most exciting experiences Southern California has to offer!
- Please present voucher to the ticket office. Tickets will be timed for the next available tram car as a first come first serve basis.
- The Tramway is subject to delays and periodic shutdowns due to unforeseen circumstances and is not responsible for ticket refunds or the inability to redeem a voucher
- Tramway cars hold 80 people each and there are no seats. Passengers remain standing throughout the journey up the mountain
- Distance is approximately 12,800 feet, with a vertical ascent of 5,873 feet - 15 minutes travel time one way
- The tramway is known as a double reversible type of aerial tramway. Each car remains on one pair of track cables moving up and down without turning around. Each car serves as a counter balance to the other, the descending car is helping pull the ascending car up the mountain
- Strollers are permitted on this tour
- During holiday periods, you may experience long lines. We recommend you travel outside of these peak times to fully enjoy everything the tramway and mountain have to offer.
- There is parking in 13 paved lots near Valley Station. There is free shuttle service from parking lots to Valley Station entrance available weekends and holiday periods

Take the tram! It was a... - Take the tram! It was a great experience for all ages. The views are incredible with the floor rotating 2 full times around as you go up and down the mountain!

It was snowing - Great experience no matter what the weather. The day we went it was raining in Palm Springs and snowing at the top of the mountain. A family had sledding equipment and a few people had their snow shoes to adventure outside. Couldn’t see the valley floor but still fun

Missed our trip - We never made it my friend cut her hand on a broken glass had to go to the emergency department. Can I get and refund or credit?

Call up the voucher prior... - Call up the voucher prior to going. It cannot load the voucher on the WiFi. I couldn't pull up the voucher at all. Plus there is a dine and ride option for 1 to 2 dollars mire.

Delay between getting ticket and actual ride…twiddle your thumbs for 2.5hours?! - I purchased tickets thru trip advisor, this did not save any time or give any favor in the process (pre-paid line or preferred line). After redeeming our ticket for two, we were assigned the first available timed ride tickets for 2.5 hours later. Our mistake was to go around 11am on a Saturday. There were loads of people waiting, not enough seating/shade, or things to do while you wait. The fact that you are not able to purchase a specific timed ticket online is unfortunate. We had planned on spending 4hours and it was more like 7 hours and required us to cancel evening dinner plans. Go during the week, go in the morning. The tram itself was very cool, the restaurants were expectedly more expensive for food and drinks; the peaks restaurant for lunch was very tasty. How exactly you can make a dinner reservation and then know how you can be there in time without being very early or late, beyond me.

Buyer Beware! - We have taken the tram before but wanted to share the experience with our Irish visitors.
Once we arrived and paid the $15 parking fee, we learned that the next available departure would require a two hour wait. Given the high winds, they slowed the tram down.
Key learning? DON’T book the tram in advance, as tickets via Trip Advisor will NOT be refundable.
Instead, attempt to find “wait time” before purchasing your ticket.
But you’ll still need to eat that $15 parking fee.
A $150 loss has left a bad taste in our mouths about ever doing this again, and the Trip Advisor “Help Desk” seems purposely designed for anything but…

Bad Business - The tickets I bought were not even valid. We didn’t have a time stamp on the tickets so they were worthless. When we got there, it was a 4 hour wait for with this voucher Buyer beware! Have already contacted my CC to reverse charges.

Be Aware - I did not get to do this activity. Upon arrival at the security checkin gate we were told there was a 3 hour wait. I told the guard we had a voucher for our tickets already. He told us it didn't matter - it was not a ticket and there was a 3 hour wait. We chose not to wait.
Our visit was for a Saturday and maybe that was the problem with wait times, but I would look for an actual ticket with a schedule ticket time (if there is such a thing) if you are interested in this activity.
