Best Cooking Class - We had a wonderful time learning how to cook some delicious Sicilian recipes. We made pasta by hand, a lovely fava bean soup/sauce, yummy panelle (Sicilian chickpea fritters) and refreshing strawberry granita. Michael, our teacher, designed the class so that every person worked hands on with every recipe. More than worth the money! I can't wait to recreate the dishes at home!

Absolutely fantastic, 100% recommend! - If you are looking for an authentic Sicilian cooking class this is definitely the one for you! We really enjoyed that it was a fairly small group, it really feels like being invited to a friend's home to prepare and eat a meal. Starting off with a tour around the market, Michael explained the seasonality of the various fruits and vegetables. After picking the freshest ingredients, we were taken back to his kitchen to help prepare them into 4 courses. The kitchen was well-equipped, and Michael shared lots of cooking tips. All of the courses were simple to prepare, so easily accessible for anybody. Michael contacted us the day before the class to check that the day's menu would be ok for us, and a vegetarian option was available for us. After everything was cooked, we all sat around the table and shared the food with some delicious local wine. It really was a fantastic day. We met some lovely new people, and learned a lot about Sicily and its food. Michael and his wife are great company and really make you feel welcome. I cannot recommend it enough.

Brilliant experience - We had an absolutely brilliant time at the cookery class with Michael. He kindly fitted us in at the last minute and we were so glad we'd booked. We enjoyed a brief tour of a local market and then got involved in the prep of some delicious food. It was so lovely to sit down with him and his helper (I'm so sorry, realised we didn't catch her name) to enjoy a meal together. It was a great way to learn more about Palermo through food!

The highlight of our stay in Sicily - Very nice day we had. Starting from the intresting market (de Capo), where we had a nice walk and Michael shopped for the course and told us about seasonal veggies etc. After that we went to a very nice and spacious kitchen, where we cooked under Michael’s advice and instructions. He really teached us a lot of new things and shared a lot of info. Cooking together was fun, but also ”serious business” - in this cooking course we were really doing things, not just watching. And we loved it. The menu was delicious and it actually changed our minds about fava beans and fennel. We loved the minestrone we made! It was great that we made our own, beautiful cavatelli-pasta! Also this course changed our understanding about panelles too! They are so totally different kind of treat, when thin and FRESH. Also polpetti and granita were really delicious. Can’t wait to try them all back at home! We got the recipes with us <3 Thank you Michael & Alena too for the loveliest day and the best food!

A true Sicilian cooking class - Everything was really perfect. The course, the atmosphere the generosity to give the information. The course was in English so sometimes there were a little technical terms but overall 95% was perfectly accessible. Massimo’s character was very attentive and eager to share his passion with us.
