Starting from Sicicla, enjoy cycling through the Parco della Favorita, the city’s green oasis, along Palermo’s official cyclocross route that winds through the woods. There will be stops at Grotta Niscemi and Le Scuderie Reali. Descend via the Landolina trail, which skirts the southern slopes of the mountain, and continue on the paved road towards Tommaso Natale to reach the Strict Nature Reserve Grotta Conza. Begin the ascent to Pizzo Manolfo, where the view encompasses the rugged and distinctive landscape of Palermo’s mountain massifs, occasionally altered by human activity, with limestone rocks displaying a range of colors from grey to pink and rust. Upon request, a visit to Grotta Conza, located at the base of a vertical wall surrounded by ash and carob trees, is possible. At the end of the climb, stop at the charming “Zu Caliddu” restaurant to savor one of Palermo’s street food specialties (a small bottle of water is included). Finally, cycle down the gentle descent of the paved provincial road back to Palermo, offering glimpses of the city and Monte Pellegrino. Return to the port marks the conclusion of our services.
