Immersed in the heart of the Palermo reality with a passionate guide - We loved spending these three hours with Chloe, our guide, who spoke impeccable French. One of the great advantages of choosing a guided tour with members of a local association is that it benefits from an authentic, committed and deeply rooted perspective in the reality of the inhabitants of Palermo. Far from the clichés of Hollywood and the unhealthy fascination with the mafia, this visit offered us a clear and realistic explanation of what its inhabitants have really experienced and continue to endure. Chloe has been warm, sharp-minded and brilliantly intelligent, making this experience intellectually enriching and deeply impactful. During the visit, we discovered iconic places and realized the importance of supporting traders and initiatives that courageously resist mafia intimidation. Despite its apparent discretion, it remains present in Palermo, imposing “pizzos” (extortions) on merchants and exerting a harmful influence on areas such as transport or urban planning (in short, we let you discover the rest on the guided tour). We would like to thank Chloe, as well as the association and all those who are courageously fighting for freedom. This tour, both informative and deeply touching, is an experience that we highly recommend to anyone wishing to discover Palermo from another perspective.

Very informative tour - We took this tour the first day we were in Palermo and were glad that we did. It was a good overview of the mafia history in Sicily and specifically Palermo and information about mafia activity around the world.

Interesting and educational walking tour - Very interesting walking tour (about 3 km) with a very committed tour guide Attillio. He talked extensively about mafia, pizzo, social and political structures in sicilian society. An education!

Absolutely recommend! - This was a great tour, we were on the road for almost four hours, but it filled up like one. Attilio told so great and thrilling, answered all questions and organized the tour great. I can really recommend it! Such an essential part of history and, unfortunately, of the present. So helpful to understand Italy and Sicily! Thanks to Adio Pizzo and to Attilio!

An Anti-Mafia Tour with a Passionate Guide - Francesco was an amazing guide, knowledgeable, friendly, attentive and very passionate about the focus of the tour — the history of the Mafia in Sicily, how widespread it was, how it functioned, how destructive it was, and the intense effort over decades to try to root it out, with vestiges remaining nonetheless. Francesco got us to understand the importance the importance of Addio Pizzo and the work it is doing. He covered a lot, and indeed there is a lot to cover on this topic. Strongly recommend this experience.
