Highlights
  • Isola di Spargi - Our tour will start with a wonderful beach stop at Spargi island
The granitic island of Spargi is the largest among the archipelago’s four minor ones. Known for its oriental side beaches, it has a surface of 4,20 Km2 and is the third-largest by size throughout the whole territory. The entire area rises up to 153 meters above sea level.
Spargi island is the favorite destination of many rare species of birds and Mediterranean fishes. This island is characterized by the majesty of its granite rocks and the presence of ancient shipwrecks at the bottom of the sea, such as the remains of a Roman ship, kept now in the naval museum on the Island of La Maddalena. Explore this pristine island and enjoy a unique tour of Spargi Island with untouched beach excursions in Sardinia.
A famous rock that you can see in Spargi is the “Testa Della Strega” (Witch Head), a rock sculpted by wind and water whose profile seems to resemble a witch. Another famous rock, “Cane Bulldog”, has the shape of a Bulldog

  • Isola di Santa Maria - SANTA MARIA ISLAND: FAMOUS FOR ITS FINE SAND

The island of Santa Maria has a surface area of 2 square kilometers and a perimeter of about 10 kilometers. The altitude metric profile is lower than all the other islands of the Archipelago. It is separated from the Island of Razzoli by a very small canal, on the Eastside, named Passo degli Asinelli (Donkey’s Pass).
On the Northern side, there is an even smaller canal, named Passo dello Strangolato (Strangled Pass).
Usually considered to belong to Santa Maria island territory, it is nonetheless the most northern point of the Sardinia mainland. On the south side is Santa Maria Bay, where there is a beautiful fine white sand beach that is undoubtedly the longest of all the archipelago.
Close to the beach, lies the ruins of the Benedictine monastery. Built by monks, the first settlers in the archipelago during the thirteenth century, visitors can follow a beautiful scenic path to the lighthouse at Punta Filetto.

  • Budelli arcipelago Maddalena - After the stop at the beach and the break for lunch in front of the island of Spargi, we will sail Budelli Island: among the most famous in the Mediterranean for its beautiful pink beach.
This is certainly one of the most famous islands in the archipelago because of the Spiaggia Rosa, renowned for the enchanting pink color of its sand. Sadly, this exceptional sandy shore has been altered by the countless tourists who, despite severe enjoinments, have gathered and taken away the sand as a souvenir over the years.
The island of Budelli is considered the most beautiful in all of the Mediterranean Sea and is a symbol of the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park. Highlighting it as one of the most significant environmental sites, La Spiaggia Rosa (Pink Beach),situated on its southern side, is a monument of environmental protection. The sand’s colour is due to the fragments of a microorganism called Miniacina Miniacea, and you can see this magical site up close on a pink beach Sardinia tour

  • Spiaggia Rosa - the Island of Budelli is known throughout the world for being one of the most beautiful islands in the whole Mediterranean and it is very much appreciated abroad for its romantic Pink Beach. Precisely, in order to keep its natural heritage intact, this is constantly subjected to a strong protection regime, essentially under the care of the body that is responsible for supervising and protecting the surrounding environment and its extremely precious rarefied natural beauties, the Natural Park of the Archipelago of La Maddalena.
Its very particular name is given by the characteristic color of the pink sand of the beach in Cala di Roto. The very rare event occurs when the fragments of Miniacina miniacea, a particular foraminifera - a pink micro-organism - are dispersed in the seabed upon the death of the small organisms that inhabited the shells formed by this micro-organism.

  • La Maddalena - LA MADDALENA ISLAND BY BOAT - VISIT TO THE CITY BETWEEN HISTORICAL SITES AND SHOP
Arriving in La Maddalena City by boat, you can see, quietly overlooking the promenade, the colorful eighteenth century buildings and, on top of the hill, the fort of the Old Guard that dominates the landscape with ancient defenses of the island. Everything in town recalls the strategic importance in past centuries, covering this Mediterranean Island with historical landmarks.
Captain Nelson, the British hero who defeated Napoleon’s fleet on the island between 1803 and 1805, gave as a gift to the citizens the candlesticks and the crucifix, preserved in the diocesan museum inside the Parish Church of St. Maria Maddalena. Shopping is very pleasant in the streets of the old town, the culture is so rich in alleys, called the “Carrugi”, which in summer, turn into exhibition halls in the open air.

  • Santo Stefano - During the return to the port of Palau, we can admire the island of Santo Stefano, NATO base and home to an exclusive tourist village.

  • Roccia dell’Orso - While sailing for the return to the port of Palau, we will see the famous Bear Rock on the shores of Palau.

A wonderful tour! - A wonderful day, beautiful places to visit, friendly and knowledgeable staff, highly recommend this trip. The boat had plenty of space, especially compared with similar sized boats which had many more people. Book this tour - you won’t be disappointed!

Sailing among the Wonders: Unforgettable Adventure with Delfino Tours in La Maddalena - Our recent experience with Delfino Tours for the motorboat trip to the La Maddalena archipelago was extraordinary. From the first moment, the organization was impeccable: from online Reservation to punctuality of departure, every detail was taken care of with the utmost attention. The staff at Delfino Tours was outstanding. Their kindness and helpfulness made us feel immediately at ease. Each crew member showed great preparation and professionalism, providing us with detailed and interesting information about the islands we visited. The passion with which they carry out their work is evident and makes the experience even more enjoyable. The ship was comfortable and well equipped, with enough space to enjoy the view in total relaxation. The bar service on board was of a high standard: a wide choice of drinks and quality snacks, always served with a smile. The kitchen, then, deserves a special mention. The dishes prepared on board were delicious, fresh and well presented, adding a touch of class to our day. In conclusion, we highly recommend the boat trip to the La Maddalena archipelago with Delfino Tours. It is an unforgettable experience, made perfect by the professionalism and passion of the staff. We look forward to repeating this adventure!

Better, impossible! - Wonderful people, very friendly and nice at all times. English, Italian, French and Spanish languages. Super complete. Very nice workers. The boat super comfortable. We have made several stops, both in water and in coves. Since the coves are only accessible by boat. They explain the history of each thing (brief and concise), finally an hour and a half to visit Madalena to visit, eat ice cream, Shopping... etc. Very happy with this experience. We would definitely repeat. 😄😄😄

Sad food - Everything was luxurious, the staff, the boat, the tour, the places visited, the treatment of the staff, except the food, a plate of macaroni without bread, without anything to drink or a sad bottle of water, I would have preferred a sandwich and a soft drink Otherwise all of ten

A good day with aspects to improve - Positive points: The boat was quite large, with places in the sun and in the shade for us to choose. The staff was generally friendly and helpful. There was no music all the time, being able to relax. The stop time at each site (always about 1h15) was enough for the 2 trips to the beach and the tour on the main island of the archipelago. The stop time for diving in the natural pools was shorter (about half an hour), but perfectly sufficient. Negative points: The pronunciation of the guide in EN, FR or ES was not always understandable, unfortunately (I speak all these languages and, even by combining parts of the information perceived in all of them, I could not understand everything at 100%). The lunch served on board (10€/person) was of poor quality (shrimp was about 2cm...) and, for the tour price, they could perfectly offer 1 bottle of water. When we unlocked the boat after lunch, we had a problem with the anchors that made us waste half an hour. Nothing was explained to us and this time was simply taken from the tour, since we did not pass through Isla Caprera that was included in the itinerary. Nothing was told about this and when I asked at the exit why we had not seen one of the islands, they pretended that they did not understand the issue and invented 2 different excuses.
