A must do when in SriLanka - For safari we woke up early to be at the park at 6.00am. The weather was nice and our guide was really polite. If you want to view animals and birds its said to visit the park early morning when the weather is cool and animals have rested the night. We saw most of the mentioned animals and birds except the leopards. It was said that no one that day saw the leopards. Its a matter of luck. All in all the tour was great and views of the park were amazing

Safari New Year - Unforgettable Safari by Vishwa. His love of animals and his desire to show them off made the experience much more than just a safari. Of particular note is how he cares to teach all the fauna and not only the large animals and how he avoids the points of greater crowding being able to enjoy many moments almost alone. A 10 for Vishwa as a driver, guide and person.

Great safari & super knowledgeable driver/guide. - We did the afternoon safari, in which we saw all the animals that are in the park. A leopard, sloth bears, mongoose, elephants, different species of birds. This is fully down to the amazing driver, Yashara, who took us through some quieter areas to ensure we could see everything we wanted to! He was really knowledgable and gave us all the insight and context on what we were seeing etc. Would definitely recommend this company, although there was a slight mix up initially with our hotel not being listed (we were v close to the park entrance and they wanted us to head out in to town to meet the driver) but this was all sorted over WhatsApp and they arrived straight to our hotel. 🙂 Just beware that this is the price for the driver & vehicle and you will need cash to pay the park entrance (13,000 rupees when we went).

It is not Africa but safaris to do! - Vast national park in South Sri Lanka (about Triveneto size) divided into blocks. Visit Block 1 with raised jeeps for animal sightings. Afternoon tour less frequented by jeeps than that of dawn. Possibility of leopard sightings “like a terrain to the Lottery” however remains an experience to be done. Those who have gone on safaris in Africa will be disappointed. Few animals and iconic moments remain elephant sightings that you then find on the street outside the park in the Central Province. Views both at sunrise and in the afternoon (jeeps by 6pm must be out of the park) wonderful

Bit disappointing - Really only wanted to see a Leopard but only seen its bum lying on a tree so far away. Still exciting though, seeing all the other animals but we were disappointed not being able to see a full sized leopard! Just your luck!

Worthwile safari tour with leopard spotting - This tour was good and well worth it, the driver was very knowledgeable and made every effort we would see as many animals as possible: mainly water buffalos, birds, crocodiles, some elephants and 1 leopard. Make no mistake, even though this tour is advertised as "leopard tour", you will most likely only see leopards from afar, sleeping on trees. This is not an "evening safari", as advertised - but an afternoon safari, where predators are all sleeping (like cats at home). Actual night safaris, rightly so, do not exist, as this would be too invasive for animals. So considering your options: yes, do this tour, worthwile! And book it here on Tripadvisor, my hotel wanted to sell a similar tour at US$200

Worth to do, but four hours is enough! - A lot of cars on the safari. Felt a bit hectic and crowded. The driver spoke very bad English, so couldn’t tell us anything about the park or what we saw. There was very little information about the excursion. On the booking it said we would get breakfast, which the driver didn’t know anything about. So we were pretty hungry until lunch😅 The roads are super bumpy, so def not recommend the whole day! 4 hours is enough! But we did see a lot of elephants! So happy about going, just with a few adjustments it would have been a very nice experience:)

Mass tourism - I can only say one thing here Mass tourism handling My guide told me afterwards that the chance of seeing a leopard is only 3% Umd elephants are also seen very rarely And to see deer and deer , I don't need to go to the park to race through nature with countless other jeeps

Massive amount of jeeps. Very negative experience with the company I booked through Tripadvisor. - Nature was beautiful, but the amount of jeeps that get in each other's way and make life impossible for the observed animal, disgusting. The company I booked through Tripadvisor had a pretty negative impact on the experience. Upon arrival at the pickup place, I turned out to be the seventh person in the jeep. This while it is promised that a maximum of six people will be booked per jeep, because there are only six places 'at the top'. Because I was the only one alone I was ordered (very unfriendly driver) to sit next to the driver, which meant I would only be able to take pictures through a small side window on the left. As we waited in a long line of jeeps for the park to open, I approached the driver about this. Eventually, he gruffly arranged for me to sit in another jeep. At the end of the safari it turned out that I was in a jeep with people who had booked for four hours, I had paid for seven hours. The company immediately sent an email, requesting a refund of the missed hours (30 dollars). The email is simply not responded to. All this has affected my experience quite negatively..
