Lots of glow worms! So fun and memorable! - The tour was great. Pick-up location was easy to find. The driver was friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us a bunch of interesting facts about the area along the way to the caves. (He was also a speedy driver so we got to the location quickly.) The tour to see the glow worms was magical. So cool to see all of the glow worms in the cave. The tour was roughly 30 minutes only - and there were lots of crowds (as it was a cruise ship day)… but they were very organized. The wooden path inside the cave wasn’t too hard to navigate with the guide - despite the large size of the groups (roughly 30+ in each group). Highly recommend the experience. The tour started around 10am and we were back in Paihia a little after noon (well before the estimated 1pm end time) - so we had plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the area on our own. Really enjoyed this tour!!

Great! Recommend. - Chris was a great guide. Very informative and funny. Loved the stories and the drive from the Paihia town to the caves was quick and safe. Caves were full of glowworms! Much better than other glowworm caves I’ve visited.

A tour you won’t forget!!! - Excellent tour!!! The Glow Worm caves are an unforgettable experience and worth the cost on their own. Seeing the waterfall is an added bonus. I liked the length of the tour as it allowed for shopping in port beforehand. As an added bonus, we were dropped off right at the tender boat, saving us a shuttle bus ride from town. Note - we had the option for the tour to drop us off back in town, had we wished to do more shopping. Great driver and guide - highly recommended tour!

Special but over priced - Interesting experience but short relative to price point. My kids enjoyed it. Likes the guidance. The tour bus driver gave interesting NZ info to pass the time in the bus.

A spiritual experience. - Most memorable was actually managing to get there in time for the excursion. Ship tendered and it was all very slow. Then we had to get a shuttle bus to the town. I made it with 3 minutes to spare. The glow worms' cave is a spiritual place and very interesting. Would have been better if the three young guides had taken a small group each. Overall a good day.

Beautiful but slow - We were on a bus full of people and there were other large groups at the glow worm caves which really was too many in the caves. It was quite slow getting through but it was a great display of glow worms. The driver was informative and polite.
