Unique experience at Wilpattu - The safari tour was amazing! We had an experienced and very polite driver who showed us the best parts of the safari! We did not see a leopard (due to time- it is suggested to have the safari in the morning) but we managed to see almost every other animal! Would totally recommend, the nature is like paradise here!

Wilpattu safari - Our guide was amazing!!! He was a very safe driver who really knew what he was doing and gave us a a full off roading experience along with the experience of the safari and seeing all the animals. We were very fortunate to see leopards as well as lots of other animals. We would highly recommend booking this tour!

Safari 1st timers! - My husband and I embarked on our first safari in Sri Lanka. It was well worth the experience. We saw a lot of animals, but the highlight was catching a glimpse of 2 leopards. They were hiding behind some trees but you could distinctly see them. We saw a bear, lots of deer, peacock, turtle, warthog, birds, a fox and a monkey. I do recommend, but please note it is a bumpy ride so mentally prepare for that. The company was awesome to work with! It’s family friendly as well.

Great jungle safari! - At 5.50am we were picked up from our clamping spot by driver/driver Ranil. The safari was in one word: Great! Ranil could speak English well and partly because he knows the park and the behaviour of the animals, but also because of his perseverance (if we let him know that we would like to see a certain species, he went out of his way to look for this) and also because of some luck (because they are still wild animals) we were allowed to see all the animals. Breakfast, lunch and drinks were also well taken care of. We can recommend Ranil to everyone!

Fantastic morning safari - Fantastic Wilpattu Safari. We went in the morning so it was good to see the animals. We saw two leopards. In addition, elephants, wild boars and birds were seen. Our driver/guide explained everything to us very well.

Wilpattu National Park- just go! - Great trip and wonderful park, much less crowded than Yala. Unfortunately our day trip coincided with a tropical storm over the area (lasting for 4days) and we were unable to change the date and were warned by the company that the animals might not be out and about as normal, but I still was very keen. Actually we did see many animals including a mother sloth bear and two cubs, which was thrilling, land monitors, spotted deer, peacocks, water buffalo, pigs two species of monkeys and many water birds as there was low level flooding in the park. Highly recommended, so glad we went, no leopard sightings this time - we were also warned this might be the case (wet weather again), the driver was an excellent spotter and patient with the photo stops. A lovely park to visit if you are on the western side of Sri Lanka, do go.

All in all a good experience. But room for improvement - All in all a good experience but had some trouble in the morning. Driver was around 30 minutes late and didn’t have or breakfast with him. Breakfast was later taken care of by getting it from a different driver, but it took some time. Safari itself was amazing. Unfortunately was not able to see a leopard but was able to see elephants, buffalo, wild boar and many birds. Plus the scenery is truly beautiful with abundant flora. One thing that I would like to suggest is to hold a briefing at first. Roughly explain the days activity and where in the park we will go. I think the breakfast problem could’ve been solved earlier if this had been done. Also, if the safari provided a map of the trails or something, I think it would’ve given us sense of more familiarity of the national park
