So Incredible - We signed up for the tour based on a recommendation from the waterhole Canyon people. We are so glad we went! Ron and his wife were so earnest and dedicated in running the tour! Ron taught us how to use our phone to take incredible photos! They were very friendly and patient. Told us stories about their people. We did need to hear him preach a little but that was fine! You won’t be disappointed! Do this tour! The land belongs to Ron’s wife and her family. They literally invited us into their home! So cool!!

A “Don’t Miss” Tour! - This tour is a “don’t miss”! Ron provided us with lots of cool information about the Navajo culture and his own experiences. This was even better than the gorgeous views of the starry night sky from the slot canyon (though those were wonderful, too!).

Absolute MUST do. Especially if you want to learn night photography. - This is a fabulous experience. It brings a completely different sense to the traditional day tours. Ron is an authentic Navajos and an all round exceptional person. Hospitable, knowledgeable, a perfect host. He is also highly skilled in night photography, something I had not been able to truly deliver - until my session with Ron. The tour takes you across Navajo land in a great 4x4 for about 15mins, you descend some lit and handrail steps to reach the canyon. This is a night tour, so you cannot expect the same type of colours and lighting you’d get in the more common lower and upper antelope canyons. This is about how the earth and the stars interact and this canyon has enough opening and complexity to connect with the stars. Then it’s about learning new photography skills! And if you’re lucky you may get to see some very unique and unusual wildlife as we did. Thank you Ron.

Amazing experience - This was an amazing experience. My teenage kids loved it and couldn't stop taking pictures. Not only were the sights breathtaking, but our tour guides were very welcoming and had wonderful stories. These views were better than the ones we experienced at Flagstaff. It was an amazing experience I hope to do again soon.

Unforgettable evening - We were in a small group of 5 people plus the guide, they accompany you to the canyon walking between the Page steppe, then you descend into the canyon (incredible to see with so few people and in total silence), let yourself be fascinated by the adventure: passing through narrow canyon lit by stars and small torches provided, passing between small insects and harmless spiders. When you ascend the steppe you will admire a breathtaking sky. Experience absolutely recommended!

Stargazing in Navajo Nation - An absolutely unforgettable evening in sacred Navajo Nation watching the stars across the canyon. Wally was an amazing guide knowledgeable, funny, and passionate. We saw the Milky Way along with countless constellations. One of the best and most magnificent experiences of our trip and not to be missed!

Unforgettable Night Canyon Tour - This tour is a very unique experience. We are a group of 6 with 2 seniors. Unlike the crowd at lower antelope canyon in the morning we went. This one is more quiet and we could enjoyed the motherland with the moon and stars. Ron shared their stories with us and we got to know their lives there. He is very good at photo taking and got us some great photos. We really enjoyed the tour and highly recommend if you want an unusual canyon tour. It is one of a kind.

“Things happen” - The canyon is beautiful even though we went when it was overcast. The issue was that our guide acted like he was annoyed he had to take us. He called us 30 min before our tour and said “it’s cloudy”. I replied with yes, we are aware, but we were also told even though we may not see stars, the night photos we can take will still be beautiful. I waited for more communication from him, but he didn’t say anything. Once we arrived to the office, I approached him and said, we are reasonable people and if you don’t think we should go on the tour, it’s okay. Given that there was lightning to the east of us, we also said we wanted to make sure that we were going to be safe. He said, “Things happen”. He tossed his bag into his car and opened the doors for us, and off we went wondering if this might be our last night on earth. After a bumpy ride to the canyon (not complaining, we knew this from other tours), he asked if we had headlamps. No, we did not because the tour information said they were provided for the tour. He flung them to us in the backseat and said “make sure they work”. The hike to the entrance is an appx 80ft steep drop with steps and thankfully had rails. It’s very dark, so you have to be careful where you step. This again, is fine, but our guide was not interested is making sure our descent was safe. I kept turning around to light the path for my very active, but 76 year old mom. Where is the guidance from the guide? He hauled through the canyon and thankfully lit up the walls for one good photo (there WERE stars!), but after that he stood around. I tried to move to a different spot and do it again with our headlamps, but couldn’t get the lighting right, and he was just watching me try. We stood around wondering what we should be doing. We finally headed out of the canyon. He started first, and then he stopped. We all just stood there for a bit, and I finally asked if he wanted us to go ahead. He said “yes”, like I should have known this, and I finally told him he just needs to tell us what we are supposed to do. So annoying! We thankfully made it back up the dark climb out and back to the office. I don’t want to discourage people from going on this tour, I just felt like we were a major inconvenience to the guide and it added a lot of tension that didn’t need to be there. I forgot to mention the phone call he took 5 min after we got in the car from the “boss”, when all I heard him say was “They still wanted to go”. What the heck? Should we have cancelled? We would not have been upset if they cancelled it. It was honestly the most bizarre trip we’ve ever been on. Would I recommend this to a friend, yes, but don’t expect much.

Drove 5hrs one way, told to come another night - We drove 5 hours to this night hike. I was messaging with the company while we were on our way to make sure we would make it in time because of the time difference. When we got there, the guy said it wasn't really a good night to see stars and that the other 2 people were going to come back tomorrow so we should too. I wasn't about to drive 10hrs again the day before we leave. Also, since I was messaging them as we were on our way, and they knew we were coming from a good distance, someone should have said something sooner and not wait until we got there. They said they would refund me, so waiting on that. We left and drove 20 mins down the road, pulled over onto the side of the highway and took pictures of the stars there. We even got the galaxy in the pictures. Wished I wouldn't have wasted 10hrs and $100 in gas for star gazing on the side of the highway. Complete disappointment
