The square is dominated by the imposing Palazzo della Ragione, part of the extensive Palazzo Comunale.

Together with Piazza delle Erbe, it was a commercial center for centuries and hosts one of Italy’s largest markets. The square is dominated by the impressive Palazzo della Ragione, part of the large Palazzo Comunale, and the Torre degli Anziani.
- Palazzo Bo - Palazzo Bo is the historic seat of the University of Padua, founded in 1222. It still houses the Rectorate and the School of Law and is home to the world’s oldest Anatomical Theater.
- Pedrocchi Café - Known as the café without doors, it remained open day and night from its opening in 1831 until 1916. This tour will take us, together with a local guide, to discover the real Padua. We will take a walk around the city to discover the most important views and monuments. We will see Prato della Valle, the Basilica of Sant’Antonio or “Il Santo”, destination of millions of pilgrims every year and a romantic mix of styles and cultures from all corners of the world. Along the cobbled streets and medieval porticoes we will reach the beating heart of the historic center. We will see the ancient Ghetto of the city which, with its narrow streets and clubs, has become a meeting place for young students. Then the squares, Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza della Frutta with views of the Palazzo della Ragione and often enlivened by the market stalls and the swarming of people under the “Hall”. We will reach Piazza dei Signori, a meeting place for Paduans for an aperitif and once the home of the city’s lords. Palazzo Bo, seat of the University of Padua. We will conclude the tour with a “Padua-style” tasting.
