GoCar trip Weeks Family - It was so much fun and easy to follow and operate. I will definitely do this again. The guy at the shop was great. We would recommend you to everyone.

Fun in Monterey - Had a great time the ride was fun we went thru cannery row the coast line and part of the 17 mile road. The GPS and recorded narrative was very helpful. The staff was great with instructions well worth the money and time in Monterey!!!!

Family fun ride - We had a beautiful day to be out and about touring the area. We were able to see places we had never seen before and maneuver in and out very easily.

Best of Monterey! - We did the 2 hour tour when we came to Monterey for a weekend and it was the best activity of our vacation BY FAR! Such a fun way to spend a sunny day exploring the coast and best spots of Monterey/Pacific Grove. Ditch your rental car, pack a picnic and take one of these cute little cars out for an hour or even a full day if you have the time. This is a must do if you're in the area. The guided tours are super helpful in learning about the history of Monterey as well :)

Pretty enjoyable. Car is crowded. - This was a pretty good experience. The car is a bit smaller than I expected so it was crowded. This wouldn't be a good idea for people that are on the heavier side. I had to keep talking my arm underneath my daughters, so she had room to steer her so that was awkward. Everyone in the office was super helpful and friendly. The navigation on the gps was good and information during tour was good. 🙂

Not worth your time or money. - To noisy to be able to hear driving directions or commentary re sights. Poor quality vehicles. No power difficulty on steep roads etc.5

Worst Experience with GoCar Tours in Monterey, CA - We had the worst experience with GoCar Tours in Monterey, CA. We booked the 2-hour Early Bird Special, renting two cars for over $220. After leaving the Portola Hotel & Spa garage and heading toward Pebble Beach, we received a call from the GoCar office less than an hour into our tour, demanding we return immediately because another customer was waiting for one of our cars. This was outrageous — we paid for a full two-hour experience and were forced to cut our trip short without warning or valid explanation. When we returned to the garage, no staff was available to assist us, and when we went inside, neither the salesperson nor management offered any apology, explanation, or refund. The complete lack of customer service and disregard for our time and money was appalling. This experience was unprofessional, disorganized, and a total waste of time and money. Based on how we were treated, I strongly recommend avoiding GoCar Tours Monterey. There are far better ways to enjoy the area without being subjected to this level of disrespect and poor service.

Waste of Time and Money - I recently participated in the Cannery Row Go Car Tour, and unfortunately, it did not live up to our expectations. From the start, the instructions to get there were incorrect. We were told it was in one location, but it’s actually in a plaza at the Portola Hotel and Spa, which caused unnecessary confusion. When we finally arrived, we were told the go car we were assigned had mechanical issues, yet the guide still gave it to us. Unsurprisingly, it broke down right around the corner, raising serious concerns about our safety. Why would the guide intentionally give us a malfunctioning vehicle, especially knowing it could put us at risk? We ended up wasting valuable time—time we paid for—waiting for assistance. Worse yet, there was no offer to compensate us for the inconvenience or the faulty car. Instead, they switched us to a different vehicle, a slower, caddy-style electric car, which was not what we wanted at all. This replacement completely altered the experience we had driven six hours to enjoy. In theory, the tour could have been a great time, but we didn’t get the full go car experience we had anticipated and paid for. It’s extremely disappointing to have paid full price for a tour that fell so far short of what was advertised.

Awful Experience - My husband and I travel often and book with trip advisory pretty regularly. I have never had a complaint about any of our excursions. Well, this was the exception. I booked us a 2 hour Sea Car Tour. First we had a little dificulty finding the office. When I called for directions, I was told she didn't know where we were and come to find out we were maybe a block away. Opon our arrival, the sign in person was not what I would consider suited for the job. She didn't speak loud enough, was too busy with her phone and didn't seem to be to interested in her job or explaining the process. After we filled out the necessary paperwork, got our helmets, and followed her outside she explains to us which way to drive out the gargage, 2 loops around the traffic circle, etc. She walks us into the parking gagage and shows us where to return the car and then tells us which car we will be driving. She walks us over to the car and tells us to take a video of the car before leaving for our own protection. My husband starts looking at the car and it is damaged on all four sides. My husband complains about the condition of the vehicle. She stays "people hit things that don't move". Doesn't offer us another vehicle and there are plenty to choose from. She also tells us we are better off using our GPS instead of the provided GPS. Needless to say my husband is very irritatetd at this point and I am concerned about our safety. Here we are the only car leaving out on this tour, with what she considers an inadequate GPS and a car that has been hit on all four sides. I asked my husband if he wanted to skip the excursion and he said yes. She then tells me she cannot give us a refund because of how we booked our trip. I asked her did that mean since I booked through Trip Advisory and not directly with the office. She said yes and got the helmets and left. I will never book with this company again or refer them. I probably won't be booking through Trip Advisory either. I will take some of the blame for thinking Trip Advisory only posted reputible companies. A lesson learned!

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE STAY FAR AWAY!!!!! - Horrible customer service, Company is not Ada compliant. Couldn’t go on the tour because the company did not disclose aspects of tour. Wouldn’t give a refund, would let us speak to the manager. Owner did not want to “deal” with guests. Employee called security because he didn’t like our tone. Security came and told them not to call again. Sketchy company with horrible customer service. Save your money and do something else more fun!
