Well worth it - We had a great day out at “Ozoud Waterfall Day Trip From Marrakech”. Mohammad gave us a first-rate tour of the falls and surrounding area. He even gave us a drumming lesson!! He was very pleasant and looked after us. He showed consideration to all the different people on the tour especially those who were finding the hiking difficult. Can’t thank him enough.

Don’t be put off but the traveling time! Not to be missed. - Fantastic day out for families to enjoy. The journey is 2.30 3 drive but don’t let that put you off. We booked through an agent but when we got there we had to pay a guide as it wasn’t included. However the guide was a local man called Hisham who was in my opinion worth every dirham. He dealt with sellers and the children trying to sell things in a really nice way that was until a vendor tried to charge double for drinks. Then he told them “Mohamed Jenifer they all pay the same price” 😂 His English was exemplary and this was really helpful as my language is shamefully limited to English. I’ve done this trip before without children and I learnt so many things I hadn’t been told before. The whole area is stunning. My teenage son who I really didn’t think would be excited by this activity said it was the the best thing he did in Marrakesh! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Relaxing day at the falls, both tour guide and driver Yourself speak good English and very nice - The day started with 3 hours journey with a break in the middle. We visited argan oil making cooperative, then takes some nice photos at the falls. Lunch is a bit dear costs 110 MAD each, but many side dishes and mint tea and fruit all inclusive. Taste good. A good trip overall

Ozoud waterfall day trip from Marrakech - My husband and I visited Marrakech Morocco as part of our honeymoon trip. We were pleased to find an affordable excursion to the Ozoud Falls. From the beginning, our tour guide, Omar El Yazidi, was on time, and very professional. He was personable and made us feel very comfortable during our ride up to the Falls. Omar was knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We had an incredible time at the Falls. From the walk to the Falls and scenic views, to the interactions with locals from the region our experience was memorable. Words of advise: make sure to wear comfortable shoes suitable for hiking or steep walks, light clothing and not too much baggage. We highly recommend this excursion.

Mistaken on the merchandise? - It was very nice but too "touristy" for me The 3 hour walk could be done in 30 minutes. It's not so bad. The site is beautiful, the people are nice but if you are looking for something authentic, run away!

Amazing to visit but very far to travel plus disappointed at the amount of waste in the water! - Half way through our holiday we visited this beautiful waterfalls - I would love to say beautiful .. it was an experience.. first our hotel tour operator really did big the trip up and said it was very popular and made it quite excited.. until we got in the taxi on the day of the trip to find out it was a 3 hour journey there and 3 hours back! We were gob smacked.. for most of the day by the time we had finished we were travelling for most of the day which was really very tiring! I wouldn’t say the travel was worth what we saw... once we got there we started at the top of the waterfall and it had amazing views I must say but the barriers off the edge were just chains! Anyone could just jump over the edge if they wanted to and I would say it wasn’t all that safe as the drop was massive! On the way down there was lots of steep and muddy areas and I wasn’t wearing the best of shoes. Might I add I was never told by the hotel tore operator and excursions organiser that we needed to wear good , stable shoes. Not only this but we were never told it would be muddy and my shoes became silly very quickly! So if you visit where trainers or walking boots indefinitely. As we approached the bottom we were taken to the part where you can get in and swim however after much deliberation we decided not to as the water was dirty and there were plastic bottles floating everywhere which was such a shame to say it was such a beautiful location.. everything was quite dirty to say the least and we are thankful that we took our own drink and food. We got to the bottom and hundreds of people were washing and cleaning and jumping and cliff diving into the waterfall .. it was beautiful but really hit home on how poor some of these people live. The smell of sewage was over whelming as the dirty was kicked up from the bottom of the waterfall. The best part of our trip was that we saw monkeys and got to feed them peanuts in there natural environment and the boat that took us for a ride under and around the waterfall at the bottom. One word of advise - don’t buy two bags of peanuts from tree old man and young girl because it’s a con! You only need one bag as we only saw two monkeys and one bag was more than enough. They also come up to you straight after you have had a picture of the monkeys and asking you for money! Don’t given them a lot because they do it all day everyday! And we gave them change and they turned there nose up at you and they are very ungrateful to say they live in such poverty! Our tour guide Azdean was great though he took us out of a bad situation and we a great guide all day so thank you Azdean. There were some lovely little trinket shops on the way back up especially a little wooden shop where I got a key ring with my name on in Arabic. Really lovely and the experience was good to have an understanding of the culture. Unfortunately because of the smells and the about of walking we are glad we experienced it but the travel and strenuous nature of the trip that we would not recommend it to immobile or larger peoples we would advised it’s a good experience but make sure you are prepared to walk miles and keep hydrated. Kind regards, Jazz and Dean
