Top excursion with good guide to Ouzoud waterfalls. - As agreed, a day in advance via WhatsApp, we were picked up near our Riad, we had a very nice driver who spoke the languages, English , French, Italian well to welcome us. Then our route continued to the falls. Once that we got a very nice guide; Younes Ghanoli Akouray, who knew a lot to tell, also spoke his languages and had a nice chat with everyone. We really enjoyed this excursion.

Enjoyable Day - Very enjoyable trip, bear in mind (we didn’t), the distance from Marrakesh to Ouzoud, it will take a couple of hours, including a short break on route to stretch your legs and get some refreshments. Once at the Falls, we were introduced to our guide for the day (Younes Akouray Ghandi), who was friendly and informative, (he also was able to speak in several languages, to ensure everyone in the group were kept informed). We had a walk around a couple of displays where Argan Oil was being made, prior to our walk down the hill path. On route we saw various troops of monkeys, there were also several stalls selling an assortment of wares. You can buy nuts to feed the monkeys, although many guides will have treats for them and gladly share them with you if you want pictures with the monkeys (keep your bags close as the monkeys will run off with them as they think they contain treats). There are a few cafes on route should you need to rest or get refreshments. Once at the bottom, there was a short queue for the boat, once aboard the rower will take you out close to the falls, then they will moor up to allow photos to be taken. After the boat it’s time to commence the ascent (you will descend on one side of the falls and ascend via a different path). Once again the path has a number of stalls on route and also small restaurants. Our group stopped part way up and had some food and drinks, before continuing our walk up. The walk isn’t too taxing but bear in mind the total walk is about 3km, over uneven ground with many steps. There are Donkeys available for those who may struggle with the ascent side of the walk, we didn’t use them, but did see other people taking advantage of them so I have no idea how much they would cost. On our return journey we also had a 15 minute break, to allow for drinks etc. A long day (purely due to the distance), but an interesting experience.

Thank you, Younes! - Several contacts before the tour (the tour operator, a 1st Guide) to finish with another Guide. Luckily, it was Younes, a very friendly Young Guide. The waterfalls are beautiful, the landscapes around also. A downside for monkeys that are fed to make tourists laugh. The boat ride was short but it was magical to get so close to the waterfall. Good meal for 120Dh, flat starter pastries and tea.

Bomit excursion but too far from Marrakesh - The casacada is very nice and the guide, Yuness, very friendly and friendly. The 8 hour trip (4 round trip and 4 return) is not worth it because of the 4 hours you are in the waterfall... the boat ride is 5 minutes and you get almost under the waterfall, but without more. We asked for a Spanish-speaking guide, but we were mixed with 5 other nationalities and the guide had to translate into the 5 different languages, which greatly delayed the excursion. Very good food, but overall not worth the excursion from Marrakesh.
