Marrakech to Dades via Ouarzazate

Tizi n Tichka - This is the highest point crossed on the journey to the desert. Stops will be made at various mountain locations, initially for breakfast and restroom breaks, followed by opportunities to capture stunning photographs. Visitors can also explore women’s cooperatives that produce cosmetic products using Argan oil. The trip continues to Ait Ben Haddou castle to uncover its rich history.

Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou - Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah offers a guided tour of the castle, providing insights into the village and the history of the Berber population that has inhabited the region for thousands of years. Visitors will also encounter Berber families still residing in the kasbah today. After the tour, lunch will be enjoyed at a traditional restaurant facing the kasbah.

Ouarzazate - Known as the “Moroccan Hollywood” due to the numerous international films shot there, Ouarzazate is a Berber city where visitors can explore the cinema museum and the beautiful Taourirt Kasbah, located opposite the museum.

Dades Gorges - Following the visit to “Moroccan Hollywood,” the journey continues to Boumalen Dades village, renowned for its stunning landscapes and mountains. Before reaching the village, travelers will pass through the Valley of the Roses in Kalaat M’Gouna and visit cooperatives producing various rose-based products. The drive then proceeds to Dades Valley, offering breathtaking mountain views and magnificent fjords, before arriving at a hotel nestled among the mountains.

Boumalen Dades to Merzouga

Todra River - After breakfast, departure from the hotel is at 08:00 to visit Todra Gorges, with stops at panoramic viewpoints for photography. The trip continues to Tinghir village to explore the Todra Gorges, followed by lunch at a restaurant amidst the mountains at 13:00. Post-lunch, the journey proceeds to Merzouga, passing through several villages such as Rissani, Tinjdad, Melaab, and the Kasbah of Sidi Hsain. In Merzouga, camel rides will take visitors into the vast desert to reach the camp by sunset, where the night will be spent in a desert camp.
