Great experience getting to know Japanese culture - We visited Japan for the first time and by now know that Japanese people do what they do on a different level. Having this experience with Taka-san and Keiko-san did not fit even in this frame, what these people do is mind blowing, something one cannot see from a commercial entity. The attention to detail, the attitude … is all so much personal, one feels like a second home! Thank you very much dear friends, I hope we see each other again. Stay healthy and continue to make friends all around the world. Xxx Toli&Rali&Alex&Mia

Perfect experience for our family during Japan stay while in Tokyo. - Great experience for our family to learn some more about Japanese food and culture. We travelled for 3 weeks with our family with 2 boys 7 & 8 years old and this was such a valuable session to feel more connected to and understand Japan. Taka and Keiko are so kind, with very good English. Very welcoming to invite us into their home and build a friendship and share food, drink and crafts. Thanks again.

Favorite thing we did in Tokyo - Keiko-san and Taka-san are such lovely people. It is really evident that they enjoy sharing their culture, and they do a great job of it too. Certainly one of the main highlights of our Japan trip, would highly recommend to anyone. The food is also incredible!

Team Taka - Secily's review: This was such an amazing experience. We learned so much from our “new family”. They gave an authentic cooking lesson with so much information about the area and about Japan. I came as a curious customer, I left with a great connection and a family!

Wonderful food and fun - This was a real highlight of our holiday, we had such a wonderful time with Taka-San and Keiko-San learning about Japanese food and culture. Aside from the delicious food, the warm welcome and hospitality was fantastic and we left feeling like we'd been at a friend's house for the afternoon. Thoroughly recommend this session, especially with children, my 9 year old son enjoyed this far more than he would have enjoyed a large group session elsewhere.

Great experience!!! Must try!!!!! - Great atmosphere...feels like a visit to a family not a stranger's house. Taka san and Kiko san are very welcoming and very dedicated to share the Japanese culture and hospitality. Making soba, origami, sushi, tempura and doing japanese calligraphy was a great fun but eating together after all the activities was a great reward....

Cook the best quality food and enjoy lunch with your new Japanese friends. Meaningful, memorable experience not to miss! - Taking a cooking class and getting to spend time with a Japanese family in their home were two items on our bucket list for Japan, and we experienced both with this class. The cooking lesson, accompanied by some background on Japanese culture and Taka-san’s family history, was joyful and engaging. The food we made was delicious, in large part because we were provided with the finest quality ingredients and clear, patient instruction. We took this lesson on our last day in Japan. It was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip Had we planned a little differently we could have gone to Haneda airport after the trip rather than back into downtown since the home would have been a direct train ride to the airport. We arrived as tourists and left feeling like we had been invited to lunch with friends. Our teenage son is ready to move to Japan to visit with Taka-san and Keiko-san again. Upon arriving home he convinced us to buy a better rice cooker and make several trips to our local Japanese markets for ingredients. You should take this class, no question!
