A Morning Well Spent. We learnt a lot more than if we had wandered around on our own. - As many people have, reviewed, Nicola is fantastic tour guide and gave a brilliant insight into living in in this beautiful and expensive city. His knowledge of the history of Oslo & Norway was displayed in entertaining and fluent English. He had a small portable amplifier so we could all hear his commentary. I would recommend this tour to all first time visitors to this city. Booking of this tour is available without a fee directly from their own website. There is no set charge to keep the tour available to all but a tip is certainly appropriate. Oslo is a cashless city. I had no trouble paying using Apple Pay at all restaurants and shops. Some shops do not even take cash. Nicola was very happy to accept tips via card or in all major currencies (Euros, Pounds, Dollars) so please don't feel the need to obtain Norwegian notes before your visit.

Great tour and tour guide! - Jelena was a great tour guide. She explained where we she was taking us well and was able to accommodate when our way was blocked due to upcoming concert. She was more than willing to answer all our questions. Excellent tour! We felt really comfortable navigating Oslo after being with her.

Good Overview of Oslo - If you want a great overview of some of the main sights at low, low cost take this one. It's not exactly free but almost just under $7 for "fees" for 2 people. Nikola, our guide, was interesting giving us some history, some culture, and some current impact info. 90 minutes of flat walking. Excellent.

A wonderful free tour - Elena (Helena ?) was fantastic . She has lots of information and was a good ‘teacher’ who clearly enjoyed teaching 😊 we learned a lot and also took away some great tips for what to see next. Highly recommended

I highly recommend it. - The meeting place was easy to understand and we were unable to make reservations the day before, but we were able to participate without any problems. The highlights of Oslo were easy to understand and in good order. It was nice to board the recommended short-distance cruise with a cheap ticket for city transportation. I trusted the super recommendation or recommendation of a professional guide. It was an exterior-only tour, so the next day we saw the interior and climbed the slopes of the opera house. I stayed without cashing in and I couldn't tip him because I didn't have cash. It is recommended that you bring cash, even if it is small.

Difficult to hear but good for introducing key sites - The group was rather large, around 40 people, so when we stopped it was difficult / often impossible to hear the commentary. The guide was great, lively and interesting. Trying to spread the direction of speech across the group would help with this - it tended to be in one direction. Good for what we paid, and helpful to locate main sites.
