- 4-chōme-13-14 Minamisenba - This is a valuable hands-on event where you can extract pearls from Japanese Akoya oysters with your own hands and take them home. You choose your own shellfish and use a butter knife to open it, so anyone from children to adults, regardless of age or gender, can easily extract and enjoy the pearls. Pearls have unique characteristics and come in a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes. It is also possible to process the one-of-a-kind pearls into accessories! Our staff will make it for you on the spot, so you can take it home the same day. *Additional charges apply for processing into accessories.Estimated processing cost is within 50 USD The quantity of pearls used and processing costs vary depending on the accessory being created. Additional Information
Pearls are produced by Akoya oysters over a long period of time. Some of them may be deformed (not spherical) or have uneven color, but this is part of the charm of Akoya oysters created by nature, so we do not replace them for the above reasons.
At our company, the customer selects the Akoya oyster from which the pearl will be extracted from among several Akoya oysters. This style allows you to enjoy seeing what kind of pearls will come out.

Don't miss Apricot the star dog! - Apricot (signature dog) was very cute and had a great time! The pearls were also very beautiful, and the owner, Chiaki, was very nice to me!

Quick and easy, fun experience in Osaka - This was a nice interlude for an extra day in Osaka.
Located in shinsaibashi area, very close to the Shinsaibashi-suji shopping mall, this is a nice thing to do on a hot day ( or any day really). Small shop with friendly staff, we chose our oysters and were able to open with a plastic knife (so no danger for kids etc). Located our pearls and then were able to choose jewellery to mount it in if we wanted. My son loved doing this and the necklace and ring are really nice.
If you want more pearls, you can just ask and open more oysters (cost extra per oyster)

Unique experience - Very friendly staff. Unique experience. Had a charm necklace made with one of 4 pearls we obtained. An experience we could all do as a family and enjoy.

Great fun; unique experience. - Pretty unique experience we did on a lark, very last minute. I’m a metalsmith/jeweler and I thought this would be a great idea to bring home as a souvenir and then fashion as a jewelry piece for myself. If you don’t have those skills you can make something in the shop as an option for a bit extra. The hostess was very polite and friendly and the experience was quite fun for my husband and myself. Bonus: I get to keep his pearl too! Very fun!!

Pearl extraction and accessory making experience - I removed the pearls from the shells and attached them to my ring as an accessory.
I'd never experienced this before, so it was a very valuable experience!!

We had a great time doing our accessories. The construction was in English, easy to understand and not complicated. It was a ver - We made our accessories today. The instruction was easy to understand and in English. One of us was able to open 3 oysters for free because of the first ones didn't had that nice pearls inside... it was a very special experience and I would do it again ☺️✨️ we had a lot of fun!! Thanks
