Use a Shinai (bamboo sword) to practice striking. Engage in striking and competition following match formats. Due to the complexity of Kendo, younger children (ages three to five) will primarily focus on changing clothes and taking photos.

Our dojo is also a samurai museum, showcasing a variety of samurai artifacts and memorabilia. Take photos and videos with these authentic props, creating unforgettable memories. Enjoy the convenience of our facilities, including showers, air conditioning and heating, and changing rooms. Our dojo is conveniently located in Osaka City, making it easy to access. Our instructor, a native of Osaka, can also provide recommendations for exploring the city’s many attractions.

Exit 11 of Tenjimbashisuji 6-chome Station. You will see a Family Mart on your left side. Turn left at the next intersection (Tenjimbashi 7). Turn left into the first narrow alleyway past the third Family Mart. Turn right at the first corner and you will see the building on your right.

Osaka Kendo Class - The activity was great fun especially for someone w/ interest in the martial arts, having said that it seems to me my wife may have had even more fun, perhaps because she likes to hit me with a stick!?
We learned about the art, the equipment, the strikes, that rules of the sport, and were allowed us to spar. Additionally they took many pictures of us in kendo gear both posed and action. Most importantly, the master and his assistant were friendly, helpful, kind and patient, allowing us to engage to our own capacity. We found them fun and easy to laugh. Our class ended up being just us receiving much time and attention.

highly recommended! - My husband & I had an amazing experience. Master Toshi was a very good teacher and he made it fun and memorable for us. He was also very accommodating and even helped us get a taxi. Vicky was so sweet and helpful. I highly recommend this experience! Thank you master Toshi!

What fantastic experience! - What fantastic experience!
From the beginning to the end the instructor and his lovely wife were super, both friendly and knowledgeable. We were taken through the history and beginnings of Kendo and then gentlely taken through drills. We learned how to hold the bamboo sword and then moved onto movement and strikes with the sword.
Later on we moved onto actually combat!
I can say that this is a great experience for all skill-levels.

Really cool informative and fun kendo session - Toshi was very skilled and professional. He was really thorough and patient with us all as well as making it fun. Chiza gave us great history on Kendo and Kumiko helped us kindly with explaining and translation. Kumiko took photos of us dressed in the really cool uniform. They offered us snacks and refreshements and constantly asked us if we needed breaks. Would highly recommend, this is great martial art that has such a deep history, discipline and etiquette.

Fun times! - The class was amazing! They gave a historical perspective behind their training practices. The instructor was personable, funny, and skilled! Would definitely recommend to anyone! Fun times!!!

Great taste of Kendo for everyone. - A great mix of history and teaching. Was a fun experience to get a taste of kendo. Everyone was very kind and understanding. Would highly recommend for almost all ages!

Best Experience In Japan - This was probably the best thing I did it Japan. That seems quite an unbelievable statement , but it’s true. Book this experience right now, you won’t regret it. Super friendly staff, it’s engaging, and fun. And you get to match up against your friends/family at the end. Highly recommend.

Best Kendo Teacher Ever - What an amazing experience!! My husband and I had a private kendo practice and we learned so much in the 2 hours! We were able to learn the basic moves, and even practice sparring with one another. The teacher is phenomenal and is so encouraging, he makes you feel so comfortable and motivated. He has been practicing kendo since he was 5 years old. He had a wealth of knowledge and is very passionate about kendo. I think this was one of our best experiences in Japan.
