Absolute Osaka Food Tour -absolutely recommended! - Absolute Osaka food tour with Micky
An absolutely fantastic tour , highly recommended- Micky was an excellent guide and entertained us for hours with her knowledge. All the food was delicious and we felt as if we ate at some hidden gems we would never have otherwise found - we even ate some Fugu (and survived!!)

Ike's easy going informative perfect food tour of Osaka - Guided by Ike we not only enjoyed some excellent food, but a couple of the restaurants catered for a vegan; Ike detoured for vegan ice cream and even more importantly both informed entertained and put up with us staying out a little longer than the three hours. As ever for a food tour the raw material was good with some decent food, but the style elegance and company made thus a better. Recommend Arigato (even if spellchecke prefers irrigation) and spend some time with Ike and tour life will be enhanced. Dave, Judith, Tabitha, Jess and Ed

Fun and informative - We had a great time and fantastic food! Sebastian made this so much fun and informative. His knowledge was excellent and he made it a pleasant and relaxed experience in spite of Osakas busy streets. My only comment is you will see so many places you will want to try you should do this at the beginning of your Osaka stay.

Great experience - Our hosts Chiyue and Russ were very knowledgeable and kind. They showed us parts of the city we never would have found and restaurants we never would have known to be so special and good. The food was very high quality and they even managed to always order something vegetarian for me. Both were able to tell us a lot about the history, customs and show us cool places. It was all in all a very very pleasant and entertaining tour, many thanks, Chiyue and Russ!!! 🫶🏼🙏

Excellent and delicious family adventure! - Our family of four (including 2 teens) had a wonderful time on the tour. Sebastian was a great host, well-organized but flexible to the moment. We learned so much, ate so much, and it was a highlight of our time in Osaka.

Thumbs Way Up! - We enjoyed our Absolute Osaka food tour with Melissa as our guide. Included in our group were my in laws, my husband and myself, and our teenager and pre-teen. Melissa connected with all of us as a group and individually. She took the time to recommend different foods & drinks depending on who we were, and was a fun & informative guide who took us off the beaten paths in Osaka to enjoy a hidden shrine, an historic alley, as well as the bigger “times square” Osaka vibe. It was a very memorable time, which we enjoyed thoroughly!

A culinary adventure - Akiko's passion for Osaka's food scene was infectious, and she expertly guided us through the city's culinary gems.
We started with the iconic takoyaki, those savory octopus balls that are a must-try in Osaka. Next, we indulged in kushikatsu, the delicious deep-fried skewers. The traditional Osakan oshizushi we enjoyed in izakaya was a masterpiece of flavor and texture, and the taiyaki, a sweet fish-shaped cake, was the perfect ending to our meal.
We can't recommend this tour enough. Akiko's knowledge, enthusiasm, and friendly demeanor made it a truly memorable experience.

Wonderfully delicious! - Delicious food, introduced by a great host with wonderful explanations and answers to all our questions. Sebastian took us around dodonburi, eating with the locals and made us feel right at home

Excellent tour - would recommend - Sebastian was our guide, he took us to some great places for food as well as giving us a bit of history and telling us about the cultural differences between Osaka and other parts of Japan. As he is a non native, living in Japan it was fascinating discussing the culture and challenges he sometimes faces. The restaurant and snack choices were all excellent, we were a group of adults and teens all of whom were satiated and happy with what we had eaten.

Great, people-focused tour! - An absolutely wonderful tour experience, with a trilingual guide who was from Osaka but had lived in the US and Mexico. Nicky took us to small, owner-operated businesses she knew well, and the food and the experience were outstanding. Only a good local guide could show a big, glitzy neighborhood’s human dimensions.
