Fun and excitement in the night rainforest - The night tour with Tracie and Gianfranco was one of the highlights of our Costa Rica trip. And you can notice the high level of expertise and passion in their highly interesting explanations and demonstrations. How to see nature now with different eyes, best to experience for yourself! We saw scorpions performing the act of love with fluorescent light and the Harry Potter spider (scorpion) on her hand, fun and excitement are guaranteed!

The Best in Town - I think there are other "night tours" in Drake Bay, but Tracie & Gianfranco are scientists, specialists in this field and incredibly knowledgeable. It was such an amazing opportunity to have access to their expertise. This tour was the first thing I booked as soon as we knew we were traveling and I am SO glad I did. We saw so much, and learned so much - and it was all fun.

Absolute recommendation - Tracie and Gianfranco led us through the night and there was something new to discover and learn at every corner. Both are very enthusiastic about the wildlife and insects of the country and are happy to pass on this enthusiasm. No question remains unanswered. The tour is an experience that you can remember for a long time. A great highlight of our entire time in Costa Rica.

Fantastic tour, everyone who visits Drake Bay should take this tour - Tracie's tour was recommended to us by friends who visited Drake Bay last year and we were very happy we took their advice. The number and variety of creatures that Tracie and Gianfranco found and showed us in two hour were incredible. They have lights and spotting scopes that make the animals easy to see and photograph. Their deep understanding and obvious devotion to the wildlife of the area is wonderful to experience.

Do not pass up this unique experience! - Tracie and John gave great information, careful guidance, and an overall delightful experience on the night bug tour. Tracie’s explanations were fascinating and fun and her gentle demeanor was reassuring. This tour is not to be missed!

Repeat Customer - REPEAT CUSTOMER! I just booked my 2nd tour with Tracie and Gian because I enjoyed the first one so much and I know full well each tour is different with different things to see/spot. I do not have children, but there were kids ( I would guess in the age range of 8-12 yrs) on my first tour and Tracie was so engaging with them and kept their interest. This tour is for every age though, I remained open eared and eyed throughout the tour and was actually sorry it had to end. Both Tracie and Gian are passionate and excited about the creatures of the night.. it was infectious :) Actual date of my visit was August 2023 (I'm late to the review party and could not add the correct year)

An essential tour for any visitor to the area. - This is a tremendous way of spending a couple of hours - essential I would say! Tracie and Gian are boundlessly enthusiastic and their abililty to find facinating nocturnal wildlife and talk with great authority was exceptional.

A must do in Drake Bay - Tracie and her partner lead an excellent night tour along the Drake Bay trail. I spent a lot of time on the trail during my stay and never saw any of the things they were able to spot during the tour. They have amazing spotting skills and were very knowledgeable about the bugs and mammals local to the area. We saw numerous spiders, frogs, possums, snakes, and many others.

A fascinating tour with enthusiastic guides - This was the first tour we did in Costa Rica, and even though we were heavily jetlagged, Tracie and Gianfranco kept us on our toes throughout the tour. They really work hard to show you all kinds of different animals, and what is so special about this tour is they also accompany the findings with tons of interesting facts about the flora and fauna of the area. Highly recommended for all curious and enthusiastic people about nature and biology.
