Highly recommended - Both Assisi and Orvieto are worth visiting. History, views, handicrafts, nature, beautiful towns, people all in one in this visit. We had lunch in a restaurant located in an farm open for agri-tourism. Cristina, our guide, was simply great!!! Well done Cristina; you made our day.

Excursion summary - Orvieto is a gem I had no idea existed. It’s a cozy town away from the busy crowds of Rome. We had roughly an hour to grab something to eat, shop and visit the church in the main plaza. There were plenty of boutiques and cafes to grab a quick breakfast and cappuccino. After Orvieto, we were bussed over to lunch in a small town in the Tuscany region before the final stop at Assisi. Food was good and service was nice but our tour were the only ones there (no locals, no other tourists). Meal was included and it was better than most of the tourist trap food in Rome so I was pleasantly surprised. Assisi was also a paradise that was quaint but way larger than expected. Full of fun shops and restaurants. Unfortunately there was not a lot of free time to visit Assisi outside the scheduled tour. The tour started on one end of Assisi and concluded at the Basilica of St Francis which is close to the bus pick up spot. There was no opportunity to go back towards any of the little shops we passed during the tour as we only had about 30 minutes of free time upon the completion of the guided tour. All in all, great taste of Orvieto and Assisi that will have you wanting more. It was our personal favorite excursion of our Italy trip

Highly recommend - Christina is an amazing tour guide. Very knowledgeable, thoughtful, and kind. I would highly recommend this tour where a local expert in Assisi guided us masterfully through the amazing city.

Viator trip to Orvieto and Assisi - There is a great deal of travel in order to get to the highlights and by getting to Orvieto early, most of the shops were still closed. Assisi was magnificent, it is too bad we had to leave quickly.

A spiritual trip - I had a great time. The guides were great and we had a spiritual experience. I did find the lunch activity a little out of whack as the food was miserable and considering the distance we had to travel to get there. I would recommend spending more time at the places of interest with linch on our own. That would have been a perfect experience.

Definitely worth it! - Excellent tour guide, Christina, and a really beautiful trip. Gorgeous views and a wonderful experience all around. The ride alone gives you some wonderful scenery but Orvieto and Assisi are both great towns.
