Chaotic boarding process and booking system needs to be updated - Our booking was not on system and boarding the ship was chaotic . We had to go back to the end of a chaotic queue. facilities on board were very good though . Hike to Nea Kameri was strenuous we were unable to finish it . Stop at Therrisa island was good for lunch

Great day for the price - Great experience. We really liked that the captain told us a lot about the geology of the island, which was really interesting. The tour was also at a great pace, you didn’t feel rushed at any location. Great day - would recommend

Lovely boat cruise - We really enjoyed this boat cruise! It was approximately 6 hours in length. Make sure to bring water, snacks and sunscreen. Also a bathing suit, towels, and even water shoes. The boat does have a bar too. Lots of scenic views, especially from the top of the volcano (bring running shoes). We had a half hour to swim in the hot springs, and two hours to have lunch and swim at the port in Thirassia. Optional to go up to the main village, but it was a half hour walk uphill so my group decided against it. Overall a lovely experience!

Santorini isalnd view from the Caldera of Nea Kameni - I wanted to share my experience from the boat tour I took on the Hermes 30. It was an excellent value for the price. Our guide was fantastic and made the tour enjoyable. We stayed in Fira and took the cable car to the old port, where we boarded the boat in an organized manner. Our first stop was the Nea Kameni volcano, where the guide explained the history of the caldera and led us on a hike to the top. After that, we visited the hot springs, which were amazing to swim in, but it's important to be a good swimmer as the depth is 30m. They provided safety foam noodles for those who needed them. Next, we stopped at Thirasia, where we had access to the beach, enjoyed great food, and hiked around the village. On the way back, we had a scenic boat ride around the cliffs with gorgeous views of Oia, Fira, Stefani, and Imerovigli. The tour lasted about 4 hours and covered everything to see on the Caldera side of the island. Even better, the price was less than an Uber ride to Fira from the airport!

Great experience - Great value for money, nice ride, clean toilets. Staff friendly and supportive. Even charged my phone. Only bad thing was the hot springs weren't hot. Also if you don't like walking then I don't advise. Wear trainers and bring sliders etc with you

OK But Could Have Been A lot Better - First of all, you do not start or finish at the Old Port as indicated. You start and finish off at the New Port. The Old Port and Cable Car is used by Cruise Ships. Secondly at the start it was complete chaos and poor organisation with no one knowing what was going on. Finally when assigned a boat, the tour could begin and that when it really starts well. The Tour guide was full of good information and explained things well once on the boat. The stop at the Volcano is great but be warned those not at least semi-fit it's a long trek up to the top. Again could have been better prepared so not to have long delays waiting to go up and then making sure the group could stay together to listen to the host. Disappointing at the Hot Spring as our boat couldn't get close enough for all of us to go due to the distance required to swim to the Hot Spring, so this can be misleading. The final stop at Thirassia is nice but swimming here is an issue - it's a very busy little port and the wake of boats make a lot of waves crashing onto the shore. The long trip back showing the sea view of Santorini is amazing but our boat went straight back while the other two boats went much closer and hugged the coastline better. Overall OK, but could have been a lot better.

Aberage - It was nice to visit the volcano and swim to the Hot Springs. But the company was not great. They didn’t hold our boat even though we called ahead. When we arrived, the boat was still there, but they wouldn’t let us on and left. We got on the next boat, the staff was rather rude and difficult to understand.

Not great - Overcrowded, drinks were meh, “hot springs” weren’t hot at all. No equipment for non-swimmers & hot springs weren’t accessible from land; had to swim there from the boat which means non-swimmers couldn’t go. Had an okay time, got to see some volcanic craters and learn a little history/geology, talked to other tourists, but to some extent wasted our time.

Viator gave us the wrong instructions on the meeting point and denied it. They don’t care. - Viator gave us the wrong instructions for the meeting point, causing us to spend 24 Euro more than we had to. Took zero responsibility, even though I have it in writing! They first told us over the phone a week before our trip, that we didn’t need a transfer; all we had to do was to take the cable cars from the Santorini port to the upper station & then walk 3 mins to the office. We got to that office and they said no your meeting point is back down where you came from right next to the port, at our other office. Had to spend more money to take the cable cars back down to where we came from! We reported this to Viator and showed them the email, and they STILL denied that they gave us the wrong instructions and basically said too bad. Several emails and phone calls back and forth later with no resolution, we will never use again or recommend Viator to anyone. This would have been a very easy fix to refund that 24 Euro. They don’t care!
