Beautiful open-air museum: a treat for those who love street art - Magnificent surprise: two hours of pure pleasure to discover "street art" murals at every street corner. Hyperphotogenic. It's definitely worth a visit, and it's changing coastal landscapes

Orgósolo is known for its many murals. - It is a village, with special charm and on every corner you will find murals on different themes. Often they are politically tinted and the first murals date from the 1960s. In total, about 150 murals are on display. We had a pleasant walk with guide. A nice trip. And if you love walking, there is even more to see or do nearby. For example, a shepherd’s lunch are possible.

suggestive - Hometown of Mesina which has become famous and a destination for many tourists for its countless murals that decorate the city. These murals often represent social, political and cultural themes, and have become a form of popular artistic expression and a means of telling local history. Orgosolo is also known for the artisanal production of carpets, blankets and textile products typical of the area. Orgosolo hosts various events and festivals throughout the year, celebrating local traditions, folk music and typical food. Participation in such events can offer visitors a deeper immersion in local culture. Small note at the entrance to the town in the name of the place you can see some holes created by gunfire, which obviously concerns the past.

Very creative and exciting - Orgosolo has a very exciting history, which is reflected in the murals. It is worth taking a guided tour or an audio tour. Not necessarily to find the paintings, you can do that yourself, but to find out the background.

Knowing why a mural is there makes you appreciate it more - We did not go with an audio guide, but with Annalisa... an exquisite person in love with her land. The walk among the murals with the explanations and stories to which they are linked was fantastic

A colorful and rebellious open-air museum - The murals tell the story and the intellectual ferment always alive of this territory with pastoral vocation with ancestral traditions, instinctively and politically rebellious. They are glimpses of an ancient and timeless Sardinia, surrounded by an impeccable nature like that of the Supramomonte area. The town has about 150: from historical-political episodes to customs and sports phenomena, in practice an open-air museum that involves almost every house in the town coloring the town. I would say a quite unique and original experience to enjoy walking through the silent and sunny alleys

To see between 11am and 4pm - To be seen at times reserved for pedestrians. Visit unbearable around 5pm because of the traffic at too high speed in the very narrow main street where there is almost no pedestrian sidewalk. And their horns prevent you from correctly hearing the audio guide. According to the Tourist Board, the main street where the murals are located is now pedestrianized from 11am to 4pm.
