- Ollantaytambo - We will be picking you up from your hotel in Cusco. Then in our private transport, we will be driving you to Ollantaytambo train station. It is a three hours drive through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. \n\nHere you will board the train to Aguas Calientes. \n- Aguas Calientes - The train journey itself is a rewarding travel experience. You will be able to see some remote Andean farms and villages along the course of the Urubamba river. \nYou will then board the 2 hours train back to Ollantaytambo. \n\nOnce at Aguas Calientes, our crew will be transferring you to the bus terminal. Here you will be boarding the bus to Machu Picchu citadel \n- Machu Picchu - Once at the entrance of the citadel, the local authorities will be verifying your passport and the entrance ticket so make sure to carry your original passport. We will then start with the two hours guided tour of the citadel. \n\nAfter this unforgettable experience, at a designated time, you will be boarding the bus from Machu Picchu back to Aguas Calientes. Here you will have some free time to have lunch (not included in the price). \n\nOn this tour, you will be introduced to the Incas way of life and how each area in the citadel was used by Incas. After the tour, you will have some free time to explore the citadel on your own. If you have booked a hike to Machu Picchu mountain or Huayna Picchu, our guide will be directing you to the entrance. \n\nAlternatively, you can hike to the sun gate. It offers a spectacular view of the citadel. This is also the point of entrance to those on Inca trail. \n- Cusco - Our representative will be meeting you on arrival and will be transferring you back to your hotel in Cusco. It will be a three hours drive from Ollantaytambo to Cusco. We will be reaching by 09:00 PM.

Our unforgettable trip to Cuzco, Machu PIcchu, Rainbow mountain and the Sacred valley - First of all, photos cannot do justice to how amazing this place and the country of Peru is, and how connected to Earth the people are.
We did both the visit to Machu Picchu and the climb of Huayna Picchu. The views from up top were amazing. Our guide Luis and our driver Gonzalo were amazing with their punctuality, friendliness, accommodating nature, good humor, knowledge of the local culture, and rich history. Both of them were very fluent in English which helped tremendously in learning about the rich heritage of the Incas and even the pre-Incas, architectural differences between the different eras, without losing anything in translation with our rudimentary Spanish. Although, I could only choose one of the tours from the dropdown, but we also did the sacred valley tour and the rainbow mountain tour with them. Within just that one week of spending time with them almost every day and how nice they were through and through, we felt like we were parting from family members by the end of that week. I truly hope we would be able to go back to Peru either to repeat same tours or even others. Peru is so full of historic and archeologically significant places, one trip is not enough to experience Peru in its entirety. When we do go back, we would like nothing more than having Luis and Gonzalo help us learn more about Peru. I wish the rating could allow more than 5 stars :) I will give them a 100.

Customized 9D/8N itinerary - Thanks to John at MP tours. Trip of a lifetime. Exceptional experience and assist with my constant customized planning changes for me and the "boys" in my immediate family. 6 of us total. Multi location stays/tours. Pick up and drop-off at airport. Shout out to guide William Molina and driver Washington Tabioda, with us every step of the way. We bonded with them immediately and in the end couldn't imagine anyone else as a perfect fit. It just worked. I highly recommend John and his team at MPtours if planning your trip to Peru. Very greatly appreciate all they did for us and contributed to our magical trip.

An Incredible Experience - What an incredible day we had! John met us ahead of time and outlined our trip and what to expect. He was thorough and patient with all our questions! Adolfo was our guide and he was great! He was knowledgeable and let us go at our own pace while pointing out all the points of interest and giving us some insight and history about Machu Picchu!! And we lucked out with perfect weather too!

10 out of 10! - Do it...do it...do it!!! If you are wondering if the trip is worth it, the answer is yes yes yes on every level. Ronnie was my tour guide and truly amazing. His knowledge of the history was amazing, and was able to help answer all of my questions along the way.

Best tour company - Our driver Edgar and guide Adolfo picked us up from our hotel at 6:30 am and we headed to Ollantaytambo to catch the Vistadon train to Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. The train ran along the Urubamba river and we had stunning views of the mountains, rivers, gorges, Incan ruins and the Tierra Fria zone, which is the cloud zone. We had entertainment and dancers on board, along with snacks and drinks. Beautiful textiles on the tables made for a first class experience. Once we reached Aguas Calientes, we took a 30 minute bus ride up a winding road to Machu Picchu, stunning! Our guide, Adolfo, is the best, we are a senior couple and he volunteered to carry our day pack for us. My husband was very grateful for his thoughtfulness. He was thorough in his knowledge of the Inca civilization, so courteous and ensured we stopped at intervals to catch our breath and hydrate. We took the bus back down to Aguas Calientes for a tour of the markets and river area. Our guide suggested a wonderful restaurant for a late lunch that was delicious. We then boarded our Vistadon train back down to Ollantaytambo and met up with our driver, Edgar, for our drive to our Cusco hotel. The professionalism that Machu Picchu Tours has shown and given us is outstanding! We would not hesitate to use them again. A side note, our guide was with us from pickup at our hotel in Ollantaytambo to drop off at our hotel in Cusco.

Best Tour Company!!! - This was by far the best tour company my family had. The tour guides were wonderful. Very knowledgeable and caring. One of the guide’s wife even made my mom a meal because she couldn’t make it to the hike because of a bad knee and she was left at home. The places we’ve been were amazin. We went to Machu Pocchu, Sacred Valley, Alpaca farm, Rainbow Mountain and Lake Titicaca, we are a group of 11 and a 21 month old. Everyone had their best time. The tour was exemplary, we didn’t fell rushed and everything was impeccably well coordinated. I definitely recommend this tour company. Shout out and bug thanks to John, Adolfo and Luis!

Peruvian experience - We had an excellent experience with Macchu Picchu tours. John is very patient and accommodating. Thanks for keeping us safe. The 10 day tour was well planned from our transportation, the beautiful places we visited and the sumptuous delish Peruvian dishes we tasted. Mata de coca was a hit!😀 I wish we were able to sneak it in our luggage back to US 😃🤣

Amazing! - Adolfo was my tour guide and he was beyond knowledgeable, patient and kind. Adolfo answered every question I had with such passion and showed me what every stone, room and mountains name and history was. John, the owner of the tour company ensured this trip happened for me and followed up with me days prior to the trip and the night prior to make sure I had everything I needed and was fully prepared. I am beyond grateful to them. This tour was amazing!
