- Wingfield Estate Sugar Plantation Ruins - The tour starts at the historic Wingfield Estate located in the foothills of St. Kitts’ central mountain range. When the English settled on the island in 1625, it became the first working estate on the island for tobacco, sugar and rum. It was originally owned by Sam Jefferson, the great-great-great-grandfather of US President Thomas Jefferson. Guests will see the ruins and may get a chance to visit the rum distillery to learn how sugar was converted into rum back in the day.

Participants will have the opportunity to investigate the historical remains of Lambert’s Estate, a sugar plantation site. This site is a significant attraction adjacent to the Wingfield Estate and serves as a pivotal pause point along the journey. Travelers are afforded time to roam, capture photographs, and take a breather while guides narrate the significance of the site as well as the cultural heritage of the island.\nYour amiable and adept guide will make certain you relish the adventure while prioritizing your safety during the ATV excursion.
