The meeting point is downtown Oaxaca to embark on the adventure to the stunning forest in La Cumbre Ixtepeji (1-hour drive / 30 km).
Upon arrival, the hike begins into the cloud forest, showcasing a variety of local flora such as ferns, magnificent giant agaves, wildflowers, pine trees, oaks, and wild mushrooms (during the rainy season). The hike ascends through beautiful forest trails, leading to the viewpoint and watchtower at 3,200 meters, offering truly incredible views!
The hike continues down the forest trail, followed by a drive to a mountainside eatery for a well-deserved authentic Oaxacan lunch.
