Originally, I am from the Zoque ethnic community in the Isthmus Region, which is a part of the Oaxaca state. I hail from a family whose traditions revolve around chocolate. I am eager to share my experiences and the knowledge I have garnered over time about cocoa. You will have an opportunity to savor how cocoa’s taste changes based on the preparation.

Hot Chocolate Experience - Lucy was so incredible and knowledgeable with her history! We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we got to make our own hot chocolate. She was patient and answered every single question. I would recommend this experience 10000000000000% don’t even think, just book it!!!!

Best chocolate - A great experience! It was just me and my fiancée that were on this cacao experience and it definitely opened my eyes on how chocolate became to be in the region of Oaxaca.

We had an incredible time during this chocolate experience! Asomali was a fantastic host, she was warm, friendly, generous, and incredibly knowledgeable. She offered the experience in both English and Spanish, which made everything even more enjoyable. Since it was just my wife and me, we had the opportunity to ask questions, learn in detail, and share some great laughs with Asomali. We didn’t leave empty-handed either, we brought home some delicious chocolate to recreate the drinks ourselves. Highly recommend this experience… 10/10!

It was wonderful! I was... - It was wonderful! I was the only one in the group so it was like a private experience! The tastings and snack were great. The learnings about the history, making, and variety of cacao and chocolate were insightful. It was a fun and light afternoon!

Must try experience in Oaxaca - Fantastic experience learning about cacao! Thank you Lucy for such a great time, generosity, and patience answering all our questions across the four of us! I highly recommend everyone to pop by. The pataxte cacao was incredible - a must try!

One of our best Oaxacan experiences - Our guide, Asomali, was wonderful; so friendly, and so knowledgeable. We tasted, we learned, we laughed a lot. We had such fun! After our time with her we felt we had made a new friend, and also had so much information that we wanted to share. We bought lots of chocolate to take back to the US. The experience was simply one of our best highlights of our trip to Oaxaca.
