Super fun experience! - Fun tour experience with Kevin the tour guide. He explained the history and gave us good suggestions on what to do and look for on all the locations we visited . The best part was the mezcaleria where we sampled multiple distilled mezcal liquors. On our way back to hotel we confronted a Calenda which is a traditional Oaxacan celebratory procession that takes place on the streets of the city during the Guelaguetza . We couldn’t continue our route to the hotel so we ended up joining the Calenda and that was a fun and incredible experience. I definitely recommend this tour.

Very fun experience! - Adrian (I hope I spelled his name right) is a fantastic and attentive guide. This tour might not have been the same without him.

Full day. Very fun! At... - Full day. Very fun! At Hierve you’ll likely only have time to hike down for the view up of the ‘waterfall’ rock formation or for swimming - it’s only a 2 hour stop. Maybe traffic was good for us because we were back by around 6pm.

Great tour to spend exploring Oaxaca! - Had a great time on this tour. Adriel was a very informative guide, and Leon and Carlos were great as well as our photographer and driver. We probably spent a bit too long at the textile shop, but otherwise I thought everything was very well timed. The tree in El Tule was so cool to see, Hierve del Agua was stunning and I learned a lot at Mitla. Of course, I enjoyed learning about Mezcal and sampling probably a little too much. I went on this tour on my own and had many new friends at the end of the day. Totally recommend this tour.

Unforgetable Experience. - First time visiting Oaxaca. Our tour was July 9. Our experience was excellent. Adriel was our guide, with Leon as the photographer and Carlos our designated driver. The crew’s friendly personality made this tour worth it. It was literally full day, 12 hr, tour. Worth every peso! Adriel was a wealth of information. He is fluent in Spanish and English. Our first stop was El Tule, the widest tree in the world. Because we left in the early morning, we arrived there before the other tours. We took pictures while it was empty. There is a minor fee to get up close to the tree. It’s worth it. You get to appreciate nature’s beauty. There are also children who can guide you around the tree and point out images you can see on the tree. Bring your imaginations. The images will surprise you. I don’t know if the children are bilingual, but they were very helpful in pointing out the images. They work for tips.
Our day continued to a rug weaving business. It’s incredible seeing how tapestry is made. It’s art form passed down from generations. We learned all about how the natural dyes are produced using science, by grinding, plants, seeds, and insects. Once you see how they’re made you want to buy everything in their store so bring money $$$. Don't worry you will have plenty of time to shop. You will appreciate the time and labor that goes into every piece.
Next stop Hierve El Agua, petrified waterfalls. Readers beware: Hierve means boiling however these are not hot springs. The water can be cold to lukewarm. Bring swimwear and a towel if you would like to enjoy one of the pools. You will have enough time to indulge in the pools and the scenery. They do have showers. It can get hot so bring sunscreen. The mountain View was breath taking. You could just hit by the pool and meditate.
Mitla archeological site was our final historic stop. It’s smaller than Monte Alban; nevertheless it is rich in history. It was amazing to see the details in their designs.
Lunch time! Lunch was ok.
NOW TO THE BEST PART, the finale, the traditional Mezcal distillery: Valle Oaxaca distillery. So much to learn so little brain cell left after sampling the various products. They make a special Mezcal batch that should be illegal. WOW so good.
Lastly, we all had to say goodbye. Carlos, our designated driver thank for keeping us safe. Adriel, our tour guide, thank you for your wealth of knowledge and make this experience UNFORGETABLE. Leon, thank you for your information on art and your photography BUT most importantly for continuing the party after our tour at Tacos Roy.
I hope you have a memorable experience, just as I did.

Strongly recommended - Really great tour operated by 'Oaxaca by locals', guided by Adriel and Eduardo. All tour stops were fantastic and Adriel was a great guide - knowledgeable, helpful and informative without being intrusive or obnoxious. Very highly recommended!!

Great variety and wonderful hosts - Thoroughly enjoyed this tour even though the 12 hr timing seemed daunting. Each stop was a unique and well-curated experience with just the right amount of time to enjoy the activity. Perhaps the only stop that was a little underwhelming was Mitla, I didn’t feel we learned very much from the local guide who walked us around. However, our main hosts, Adriel, Carlos and Leon were amazing and took great care of the group. They were extremely friendly and accommodating to everyone! Though we were a full tour, it did not feel like too many people and there was a good blend of group and solo time. Adriel shared so many interesting stories and information that added context and history to each stop and highlighted his local knowledge- especially about mezcal! Highly recommend this tour, made especially great because of our hosts Adriel, Carlos and Leon!

Cool experience.... - Cool experience. Something for people who likes nature, want to see Oaxaca outside of the city, and meet other travellers as well. You get insight into history and traditions in different ways. Lots of fun things to see in «only» a day. Miguel was our guide and was both friendly and insightful.
