Extremely well worth it for a full day of events - Overall: extremely well worth the price for a full day tour. Highly recommend. The tour is completely in Spanish, but even if you have a basic knowledge of the language, I still think it’s worth it! We went to Monte Alban for 2 hours which included an introduction and guided tour for about 40 minutes before having the remaining 1.25 hours to explore the ruins by our self’s. After monte alban, we went to a mezcal tasting session. You need to pay $20mxn for the tasting, but it was well worth it because they give you 9 different mezcals to try. You also get to see the distillery process which is beautiful and interesting to learn about. Next was. an alebrijes workshop where we got to shop and browse after hearing about the process of how they’re made. We then went to an absolutely incredible lunch place with a variety of traditional Oaxaca dishes including plenty of both vegetarian and meat options. The rate for this incredible buffet was $200 mxn which $100mxn alcoholic beverages. After lunch we were driven to a town known for its pottery, and that was absolutely wonderful. We had a brief demonstration of the original techniques that come from the region and were given a lot of time to shop. The prices at this pottery place were shockingly (seriously, shocking) affordable considering the beauty, quality, and time taken to make them. I thought we were done after the pottery place but no! Right before we finished, we were brought to a chocolate store outside of the Mercado 20 de noviembre and received a bunch of free samples. A wonderfully fun way to spend a day.

Excellent tour. - Take it. Best tour as one gets to experience the most historical places in the area with a fantastic guide, Luis who is most knowledgeable and personable. Lunch served indigenous food and was memorable. The workshops were very interesting and showed some quality work that was worth the money. Driver was most competent and also knowledgeable about the areas visited. Thanks Luis and Hugo.

Tour Monte Alban “classico” - Our guide Luis was great! He picked us up at our hotel at 9 am and drove us the entire day. He is so knowledgeable. He gave us a 1 hr tour of Monte Alban and then we had 1 hr free time to look around for ourselves. It is a great site. Next we went to a mescal making demo and tasting. Then to the town where they make the whimsical brightly painted carved animals called alebrije. Luis showed us how they are made. Then we had an opportunity to buy and next, onto a delicious lunch at a very out-of-the-way restaurant- great buffet - all for 20 pesos. Then to the Black pottery exhibition and showroom. Again Luis demonstrated his knowledge about the process. Finally he dropped each of us off at 5pm. What a day! And so reasonable!

Full day tour with a fantastic guide! - Luis is a great guide and provided a lot of background information on everything. Personal pickup & dropoff and a full day of touring for a good price. We visited Monte Alban, a Mezcaleria, an Alebrije and Pottery workshop. Local lunch buffet was good and plentiful! Thanks again, good value.

Great tour guide but transportation had broken AC - Luis was knowledgeable and friendly, he explained lots of history and culture background. However, the transportation was bad. The AC on the van was broken. No one sitting that van was over 30 Celsius.

Ok day - The tour was ok. We felt we did not get the full experience with the English translation. The roads were rough and the vehicle was high and difficult to climb on to although our driver did well. There was more a feeling of a purchasing trip. The buffet lunch was delicious. We did not get a ride back to our hotel after the tour which was unfortunate.

Amazing sites - The attractions we visited were incredible, but our guide—who was supposedly fluent in English—had very limited English skills. She was unable to provide us with proper information about the places we visited. I suggest that guides who can speak English fluently be used. We might as well have rented a car and visited the places on our own.

Mezcal should be after lunch - The monthly should put it up after lunch. How do they take us to taste alcol on an empty stomach? And the time on the mountain should be 30-1hr longer.
