- Hierve el Agua - Begin the journey at a revered Zapotec site featuring petrified waterfalls and an ancient irrigation system known as Boil the Water. Here, enjoy the unique views, explore ancient paths, and capture photos of these natural wonders. Dive into the mezcal world with a tour along magueyero roads, the source of mezcal production, aboard a mobile barrel. Visit plantations, partake in rituals, and stop by a pulqueria to sample Pulque, Curados, Mead, and Tepache. Next, at the Mezcal Artesanal distillery, learn about and engage in the mezcal production and packaging process, and explore a ripening winery. Finally, enjoy a tasting of 10 different artisanal mezcals, learning how to properly taste mezcal, and gain insights into the Designation of Origin, Categories, Classes, and the diverse agaves used in its creation.

The journey begins at the Historic Center of Oaxaca de Juárez, heading towards Teotitlan del Valle. The next destination is Santiago Matatlán, renowned as the Mezcal Capital of the World. Here, participants will engage in the mezcal-making process, including cutting agave, tasting cooked maguey, packaging their own bottle, and exploring the matured mezcal cava.
The highlight of the visit is a tasting session featuring over 12 different Mezcales. If anyone finds a favorite, they are welcome to sample it again.
The adventure concludes with a visit to the maguey/agave fields aboard a barrel-shaped truck. Along the journey, there will be discussions about cultivation, varieties, and the remarkable qualities of this noble plant. Participants will also have the opportunity to taste other beverages such as pulque, cured, mead, and tepache. The focus is on enjoying the experience and capturing memories through photographs, while the guides ensure an educational and entertaining tour.
