Great market tour and food tasting! - Brian was an amazing and knowledgeable host. The market is amazing… so easy to get lost without a guide. Food was excellent and his relationships with the vendors was inspiring. He knows this market like the back of his hand. I wholeheartedly recommend!

Very cool experience and... - Very cool experience and be prepared to eat. We were able to explore a local market I wouldn't have been able to on my own. Great guide also.

Came Back Again — Even Better the Second Time - This was my second time doing a food tour with this company, and I loved it just as much as the first. I brought three friends who were visiting Oaxaca for the first time, and it ended up being one of the highlights of their trip. Brian was incredibly impressive—knowledgeable, engaging, and made the whole experience feel seamless and fun. He did a great job introducing us to the local food scene while keeping the energy up throughout the tour. It’s rare to come back to something and still be just as impressed, but this definitely delivered. Highly recommend, whether it’s your first time or a repeat visit.

Fun food tour with a lot of walking - My sister and I have started doing food tours each place we travel. This tour did not disappoint. Roberto was full of information and took us to reliable, quality vendors in 20 de Noviembre Market. The market is huge and you can typically take pictures of anything without asking. We found that helpful so we could better find things when we went back another day. Absolutely take advantage of this fun tour. It is a lot of walking over uneven terrain. Take this tour with Roberto and you won’t be disappointed.

Must do! Wonderful food & culture! - This tour was excellent. Our guide, Roberto, was top-notch! He asked us questions and then pointed out things as we went that we had mentioned we liked. The food was fantastic & we got to hep prepare a few of them. He told us the history of many of the foods as well as how they are made. Definitely will highly recommend!

Great way to experience the busiest market of Oaxaca - This tour was a great experience to taste the local food of the city, explore the culture of the locals and be guided around one of the most chaotic and busiest markets of the city. We got to taste a variety of dishes and local snacks. We would really recommend this tour for anyone who wants to explore the food culture and visit this market.

Local market food tour - We had a great time at a wonderful local market. Our guide was well informed, and we had lots of fun with him. Even tried a local food, grasshoppers, which actually weren’t too bad 😆 Overall, we would recommend this tour.

Oaxaca Experience - Oaxaca turned out to be a bit of a tourist trap. A quaint town with numerous restaurants due to the famous Oaxacan cuisine, but many of them not worth the money as the food was less than satisfactory. In fact, do yourself a favor and eat in the smaller, family-owned restaurants, where the flavors were more authentic. The best of these was Ocote Cocina, about 2 block north of the central square. Also, the worst place to stay is Ajaja T apartments north of the city square. Well photographed, they look nice online. They're not. Once inside, they're smaller than small, literally needing to shuffle around to avoid hitting things and full of ants and occasional other wildlife, like lizards. Not particularly clean either.
