Great day at the Cultural Center - We really enjoyed this place. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Each island has lots to see and experience. We chose the buffet and so glad we did. Lots of choices and by the time we had done all the islands it was nice just to sit and eat a meal on our own schedule rather than a show. The buffet was is a very large building that was nicely decorated. The evening show (LA) was wonderful and worth staying around to see. One of the best things we did on our trip to Hawaii.

Island culture experience - My family and I had a wonderful experience at Polynesian Cultural Center. A bit pricey for a family of three but we got to experience different cultures, food and entertainment. The value was worth it and we had a lovely time. Driving to the cultural center, was also an adventure, we were able to see the lush green forests and the beautiful scenic view of the ocean. The cultural center is a beautiful place with beautiful people. Each area represented the islands heritage and we were able to experience their unique culture. Plenty of food to choose from at the buffet. The desserts were my favorite. Stay for the show, it was a great way to end the night.

Well worth the money - The experience was well worth it. There were plenty of things to see and enjoy., although the total time spent was nine hours. The buffet dinner was great with hundreds of dishes to choose from. Finally, the Breath of Life show was that culminated the day's activities was excellent. The activities were well organised and started sharp on time. The student volunteers did a greqt job. They were very courteous and helpful.

A wonderful way to spend a day getting to know Polynesian culture. - Many of the guides and participants are from the islands themselves so you get a more accurate portrayal of the topics than you might from professional actors. Best value is to combine the islands tour with the luau and evening show.

POLYNESIAN CULTURAL CENTER #2 ATTRACTION IN OAHU ONLY BECAUSE IT IS 1 1/2 hours FROM HONOLULU. #1 by far. - We purchased the Super Ambassador package and our guide was Jeremy a recent graduate from BYU-Hawaii with a degree in Social Work. From the beginning to the end Jeremy guided us to our reserved seats of each village. We are concluding our travels to Spain, Dubai, Sydney, 21 day cruise to New Zealand and Polynesian Islands on to Hawaii. This was by far the BEST excursion and experience of our trip. It is amazing how talented the performers were in each Village and we were told that 70-80% of all performers are students at BYU-Hawaii. Kap from Somoa was the funniest and best storyteller I have ever encountered. Each island told their history through dance and song or storytelling. We visited Tahiti on our cruise but we learned much more about Tahiti and their culture at the village. Jeremy made sure we arrived just in time for each performance to our VIP reserved seats. Fiji, Somoa, Tonga, Hawaii, New Zealand, Tahiti were the island villages we visited. Plus canoe rides through the park. The Luau food was incredible and the evening concluded with a wrap up performance at the main Theatre. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the Super Ambassador tickets are the way to go with a personal guide. Thanks again Jeremy for making sure we experienced the essence of the Center. Otherwise we would have been lost 😎❤️😎

Come early because there's a lot - We missed much of the cultural center, that has areas dedicated to many of the Polynesian Islands (Tahiti, Samoa, etc). That part closes at 5pm & we misread the info. However, we were able to enjoy a delicious buffet. Every item was marked along with specificity to ingredients or allergens (gluten, vegan, vegetarian, nut, soy, etc). You could try something new (Longan, star & papaya were new to me) or go for the old favorites. Even ice cream wasn't standard (purple yam!). While we were eating there were 2 people singing & playing the ukulele. You have not lived until you hear "Sweet Child o Mine" & "Smells Like Teen Spirit" sung Hawaiian style on a ukulele. As for the Polynesian Show, we could not take pictures during the show. I was expecting more taking audience members up to learn the Hula, but it was all story by dance. Think along the lines of Hamlet/The Lion King theme as the "actors" sail to other Polynesian Islands. They meet new indigenous islanders & we learn about their stories, customs & dress. The energy of the dancers will amaze you!
