Great excursion to do on your last day before heading to the airport - It was great to get so close to the airplanes and helicopters. The docent at the top of the tower was excellent. He told stories of the attack that I hadn’t heard before. Being able to see all of Oahu as well as Pearl Harbor gives you a unique perspective on how the attacks took place. All of the staff were super friendly and wanted to tell you all about the museum and what you were seeing.
Things to know, if you are claustrophobic, you may have difficulty in the elevator going to the top of the tower (this is optional add on anyway), also if you have a fear of heights, this part of the excursion isn’t for you.
Lastly, I was not able to use the tickets I purchased through trip advisor as the staff could not validate my tickets. I had to repurchase them at the entrance. Hoping trip advisor does the right thing after talking to them on the phone (while I was attempting to get in) by refunding me the price I paid to them. Because of this, I would not advise purchasing the tickets through trip advisor.

Must visit for history and aviation fans - As an aviation enthusiast I could not skip this tour. For sure it is not for the fainted hearted people, as going up with the old elevator is a bit scary at first, but than it turnes out to be worth for those few minutes.
The view is amazing from the tower, nicely renovated and the guided rour was really informative. For those who are really into the history of Pearl Harbor, it absolutley a must to visit, and the location gives perfect photo setups for Missuri ship and the old hangars. A bit windy on top, be careful with freshly purchased caps and hats :)

Wow.. just wow - As part of our whole day at Pearl harbour, having bought the all access passs, we stopped off at the Airmuseum situated on Ford Airfield in the middle of Pearl Harbour. What stuck us first is how familiar it felt, due to all the movies, documentries and ohotos we have seen over the years. But to stand on the airfield, bext to the hangars that still have the bullet holes in them from the attsck by the Japanese is a omce in a life time experience. The muesum itself has some rare and historic aircaft, noteably a genuine Japanese Zero, one of only 5 in the world. As an extra treat we also bought tickets to go up the water and ATC tower. At over 186ft you go up in a lift and then have about 3 flights of open stairs to the top. The climb is worth it, the views across the harbour or stunning and the tour guide then explains in great detail the unfolding events of the 7th december 1941. To be able to see across the island, down battleship row and out to the oacific is just amazing.

Air Museum and Tower Visit - Albeit nice, the air museum was smaller than expected. It was nice to see the grounds but we were anticipating a larger number of planes to be displayed. Hangar 79 was all but empty. Also visited the Tower which was located across the way from the museum. It too was nice and the guide at the tower was knowledgeable

Goosebumps - The collection of warbirds and jets is very impressive and absolutely a must while visiting the historical site of Pearl Harbor.
Understanding that you are on a key spot of the world’s history, in the hangars where the bullet holes of December 7th 1941 are still visible, on the runway which was bombed, looking at the legendary control tower,.. gives you goosebumps.

Waste of time and money - Followed directions provided with tickets and ended up getting turned away by military MPs because the location provided was on a military base that requires you to be in the military to enter. There is no direct access for civilians.
