Take advantage of our free Waikiki shuttle service to the Ohana Surf Center located at the Waikiki Beach Marriott. Travel in our spotless, air-conditioned yellow bus or white shuttle van, both proudly displaying our logo. After checking in, gearing up, and receiving a brief safety orientation, you’ll be transported to the beach.

Meet your instructor to discuss your experience and comfort level, then proceed to the ocean with your top-quality board. Once prepared, it’s time to hit the waves!

Following your lesson, return to the Surf Center to view photos, watch videos, and browse merchandise—then we’ll shuttle you back to your original drop-off point.

At Ohana Surf Project, safety is our top priority! Our coaches and guides are professionals, trained in safety protocols such as CPR, lifeguarding, and first aid, and they are also friendly and approachable.

We are committed to delivering exceptional service to everyone who joins us on the water, and we warmly welcome their loved ones who come to support them. Our passion lies in teaching three exciting ways to glide across the water: surfing, stand-up paddling, and bodyboarding. With many years of experience, our staff members are among the best instructors in the industry. We love what we do and enjoy working together as a team and as ohana, ensuring our students feel safe, comfortable, and successful.

We eagerly anticipate welcoming you into our ohana and sharing the aloha spirit that keeps us all here in Hawaii—enjoying life and good company, respecting the ‘aina (our mother earth), having fun, and staying active.

• If any participants have medical conditions or injuries please advise the staff ahead of time
• Please come prepared for the lesson by wearing your bathing suit, bringing a towel, and making sure to apply sunscreen ahead of time
• If you are prone to seasickness, you may want to take a remedy you are accustomed to using about an hour before the lesson (talk to your doctor for recommendations).
• All of our written materials are also available in Spanish, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. We will do our best to accommodate, but cannot guarantee, Japanese, Korean, Spanish or Chinese speaking-instructors without enough advance notice.
• Complimentary transportation is available from select locations in Waikiki. Exact pick-up location and time will be emailed to you by the supplier. If you do not receive these details 24 hours prior to your lesson, please contact Ohana Surf Project.
