As Hawaii’s most iconic landmark, it is celebrated for its historic hiking trail, magnificent coastal vistas, and military heritage. The Diamond Head State Monument spans over 475 acres, including both the interior and exterior slopes of the crater.
- Halona Blowhole - The Hālona Blowhole is one of Hawai‘i’s natural marvels, formed thousands of years ago by molten lava tubes from volcanic eruptions. Although O‘ahu no longer has active volcanoes, the blowhole remains a must-visit scenic spot. Hālona means “lookout” in Hawaiian, and visitors can enjoy miles of pristine coastline views from this vantage point. On clear days, the islands of Moloka‘i and Lāna‘i are visible in the distance.

Enjoy the picturesque waterfall in Waimea Valley, which cascades into a pool surrounded by lush greenery. Swimming is permitted, with life vests provided at no extra cost and required for swimming. Entrance to Waimea is $20 per adult. This 3/25 of a mile walk may not suit everyone. Consider taking the golf cart ride, which costs an additional $20 round trip per person. The path to the waterfall remains natural and rocky. If you choose to bring reef walking shoes or water shoes, it is entirely your decision. Pacific Islanders walked barefoot through the valley in the 1800s. Entrance fee is not included in the booking price.

- North Shore Macadamia Nut Company - Located in Haleiwa, Hawaii, the North Shore Macadamia Nut Company is a popular destination for locally grown and roasted macadamia nuts, offering flavors like honey-roasted and caramel-coated, along with macadamia nut coffee and other local treats. It is renowned for its friendly, family-run atmosphere, free samples, and educational experience about the nuts, often including short tours of the property and information about the farm’s history. - Dole Plantation - In 1899, James Dole, at just 22 years old, relocated to Honolulu from Massachusetts and acquired 64 acres of land in Oahu’s central plains. After experimenting with several crops, he chose pineapple, marking the start of the pineapple empire. Dole established two canneries in Wahiawa and Honolulu Harbor and began advertising, leading to nationwide consumer popularity. The introduction of automatic pineapple peelers further boosted business. In 1950, a small fruit stand was set up in Dole’s fields. A plantation-style home was built in 1989 and transformed into an archive and living museum, honoring James Dole’s work and life. Please note that there will not be enough time to ride the train or explore the maze, as this stop is only for 30 minutes.

- Iolani Palace - Iolani Palace is a living restoration of Hawaii’s proud national identity and is recognized as the spiritual and physical multicultural epicenter of Hawaii. Built in 1882 by King Kalakua, Iolani Palace was the residence of Hawaii’s last reigning monarchs and served as the official royal residence and the center of the Kingdom’s political and social life until the monarchy’s overthrow in 1893. It has been a National Historic Landmark since 1962 and is the only official royal residence in the United States. Stop if requested.
- King Kamehameha Statue - A remarkable warrior, diplomat, and leader, King Kamehameha I unified the Hawaiian Islands into one royal kingdom in 1810 after years of conflict. Kamehameha’s unification of Hawaii was significant not only for its incredible achievement but also because, under separate rule, the islands might have been divided by competing western interests. Today, four commissioned statues honor King Kamehameha I, Hawaii’s first king. The most recognized statue stands in front of Aliiolani Hale (home to the Hawaii State Supreme Court) across from Iolani Palace and a short walk from historic Kawaiahao Church and the State Capitol.
