Great way to start the day - I really enjoyed the hike up to see Manoa falls. The scenery was very luscious all the way to the top and our tour guide knew his stuff in regards to the plant life and animals. The hike back down can be somewhat treacherous so I advise caution and shoes with good grip. We also stopped at a great lookout point later on with fantastic windswept views.

nice hike and great views - Great excursion to see some forest instead of ocean! The waterfall was pretty and many small delights on the way up and down, such as the little crawfish. Great viewpoint to see the city from above too!

Uphill and rocky - The tour guide was so nice and helpful. However it should say it's an uphill trail covered in rocks. It's NOT a nature trail.

Don’t pay for a tour when hike is free! - The hike itself was fun and I highly recommend. The tour guide was really friendly and informative. The only negative was we found out the hike is free. So paying over $500 was hard to swallow when we could have just paid for an Uber.

Water Fall Hike - The fall was beautiful, with stunning vegetation. The Puu Ualakaa State Park, as per the tour itinerary, was not included in the trip. A little disappointed as we were looking forward to the views.

No show for tour - We booked this tour via Viator 7 months in advance and paid the balance one month in advance. When we got off our cruise ship ready to go and did not see anyone I called the company directly. The person I spoke to was not friendly, said he had no record of our reservation and instructed me to call Viator for a refund. When I asked about getting a driver to come get us still he scoffed and said they don’t do tours for free…which was not what I ever said or expected. I wanted someone to give us the tour we were prepared and excited for and would have paid and dealt with Viator later. After a few stressful minutes calling Viator (who was very helpful) and finding a taxi driver it worked out. We spent only $75 going to the same two locations the tour was supposed to and finished in shorter time leaving more potential to explore other areas. I don’t know if the error was on the company or Viator’s end but either way I would expect a little compassion when I speak to someone and they realize our plans were just ruined. I have used Viator many times for tours around the world and never have had something like this happen.

Tour canceled by operator - Was suppose to be highlight of Hawaii trip, but the company canceled at last minute--not enough people signed up. Had to scramble to find another tour.
