Great day - not an easy paddle. - April / 22 - didn’t realize we left this draft review unposted…. This excursion was a seriously tough paddle en route to the island. Just depends on the wind & tide. I wasn’t certain my 12 yo son wasn’t going to quit - but he toughed it out in his solo kayak. We enjoyed a picnic & exploring the island.

So much to do! Good workout! - Super worth it. You get snorkeling gear, kayak, life vests. Staff were nice and patient. K and K BBQ for the free lunch had ono bbq chicken. They gave clear instructions on getting to the beach and there was a guy at the beach shore that helped us set the kayak in place while we got on it. It took a while to get to the closest island. We didn’t go to the other two islands because it felt rlly far. We were tired half way kayaking the closest island. Worth your time especially if you going to spend time snorkeling too. We also saw a turtle that was swimming directly in front of our kayak. I thought we gonna accidentally hit him!

Such an amazing kayak trip (thank you Gill) - Such an amazing trip!!! I had so much fun kayaking there to the mokes and back, we saw seals and turtles the whole trip. Gill was an amazing staff member who helped me and my family out with everything ok the trip. Thank you Gill! He is such an amazing staff member

Great kayak experience! - This was an amazing adventure! Brian and the whole team were very friendly and very helpful. They were quite informative and made sure all of our questions were answered. It was a short walk to the beach with our kayaks, after following a paved walkway pulling our kayaks on a set of detachable wheels. The combination of a paved path and wheels made it an easy trek. There were KBA crew at the beach to help us get into the ocean and start our journey. The instructions and directions were spot on. When we returned we took advantage of the showers and had lunch at one of the restaurants in their building complex. We had two Hawaiian green sea turtles surface for air mere feet away from us while kayaking. They had a wide variety of excursion packages to choose from. Overall an excellent time!

Such a Sick Spot - I had an awesome time at Kailua Beach Adventures with my family! We picked up some gear and had an unforgettable experience. The whole thing was a blast, and Gill was amazing—super helpful and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect day out!

DON'T MISS THIS KAYAK EXPERIENCE! - The staff at Kailua Beach is amazing. They really prepared us for our kayaking day, and provided so much more gear than expected. Their facility has everything including a shower to rinse off at the end. WATCH THEIR VIDEO - it's really comprehensive, a great description of the process of taking the kayak to the water and how to best utilize your time on the beautiful bay and beaches. Self-guided worked great for us so we could visit Trap Island and the beach at our own pace and schedule. HIGHLY recommend this business and the experience! We would definitely do it again and allow much more time!

Third time out and still super awesome!! - This is our third trip to the Mokes using Kailua Beach Adventures and this trip was just as good as the first two. Booking was super simple, and the kayaks were ready when we arrived.
If you can, bring a dry bag with you and towels.
There are outdoor showers for your use after your day. If you don’t have a dry bag, you can rent one at a reasonable price.
If you intend to hit flat Island and the outer islands, I would book the all day trip. Doing both in four hours leaves you limited time to see both.
