It is about 1 mile (1.6 km) wide and 3 miles (4.8 km) long. You see the lush, rolling, monumental Ko’olau Mountains on one side and the vast oceanic horizon on the other. The sandbar itself is a ridge of white, soft sand that becomes visible during low tide.\n\nThe paddle from the He’eia Kea Boat Harbor to the Kaneohe Sandbar takes about 45 minutes. The waters are a deep teal and you can enjoy the gradient change from the dark blue-green all the way to a brilliant white as you make your way closer to the bar.\n\nOur Kaneohe Sandbar self-guided package comes with a drybag and snorkeling gear so feel free to bring your own beverages, snacks, sunscreen, and protective clothing to keep you comfortably adventuring all throughout the day.

Great romantic experience - Amazing trip ! It was nice to stand in the middle of the bay and having so many turtles around. The two guys working there are super friendly and helpful too!

Fantastic experience, the best of our stay on O'ahu - Fantastic experience, the best of our stay in Hawaii, we highly recommend it
We were full of doubts about how to attach the kayak to the roof of the rental car but instead the boy explained and helped us and it was easy to repeat the operation upon arrival at the port.
Even our doubts about arriving at the port alone without a guide and about orientation to reach the reef soon vanished once we arrived. We also found groups going by boat and everything was well indicated in the water.
We left the kayak with the anchor attached in the sand to the sandbanks, with water at hip level, and put on the simple equipment, mask, tube and fins and we easily went around the reef where we saw the turtles 2m from us, lots of different fish and I was able to record clear videos and photos with a simple case loaned from the pick-up point.
Truly enchanting place, a thousand emotions, it's worth it.

Great experience - It was our first time kayaking and we had so much fun. Michael was very helpful and informative. We learned how to load and unload the kayak from our car, and even got some tips for how to kayak.

Have to provide own... - Have to provide own transportation for the kayaks. Difficult to kayak with the wind direction. Would have been helpful to bring snorkel gear as well
