Worth it - Amazing captain and mate made the trip a very good time sadly we didn't catch anything have to remember it's a big ocean the crew did the best they could including changing lures I would defiantly go back again and highly recommend the company and the renegade vessel.

One less thing on my bucket list thanks to Waikiki sport fishing - It was a assume trip I sighed up for a 3/4 day on a Sunday it got cancelled due to not enough people and went on a half day on
Saturday and got my first Marlin 95.6lb captain Dallas and crew were on key I would definitely go again next year we ended up going a bit longer than a 3/4day

Deep sea fishing experience - Daughter reeling in an Ono fish. Very exciting and wonderful experience. Also knowing that the fish will be shared with families so it is not wasted

Fun experience but no fish to experience - The captain was really nice but we were out for a while and we only got one bite. There were six of us total on the boat. The boat was decent size and clean. We were very disappointed to not catch anything after paying so much money.

Good crew and Captain was... - Good crew and Captain was funny and entertaining. Caught no fish. The water can be a ruff ride so consider your ability to handle motion sickness.

TDLR; Don't book if you're interested in learning, or catching anything. - I attempted to reach out via email to express my concerns prior to this review, however I have not heard back in over a week, and have followed up multiple times. TDLR; Don't book if you're interested in learning, or catching anything.
Joined with my dad and partner, we were expecting to have a great 4 hour experience with an "expert charter fishing company" and "experienced fishing captains and crew", however that was not our experience. As stated on your website, the captain and crew were expected to utilize "the ocean's currents, seabirds and deep water ledges" during our experience to hunt for fish, however at the beginning of our charter, our crew informed us that our captain was "really good" at using just the birds to locate fish, and that is what we would be doing the entire time. Additionally, we were not provided with "many opportunities to reel in big game fish", as we were not provided with bait or variety of tackle as stated on the website. In fact, not only were we not provided with bait, they used up our time to catch bait fish, then they didn't use a single fish for our charter. Furthermore, after reading about the Renegade on the website, our group was very excited about the "Shimano Saragosa spinning/jigging reels", as jigging can be one of the best ways to hunt a fish, however the lures that were used only sat on the surface of the water for our entire trip, again, with no live bait. The one fish we managed to hook was a 10lb. barracuda that they tossed back into the water, and did not even give us the time of day before they went back up to the bridge.
I feel very frustrated, disappointed, and lied to. It was our family's first trip to Hawaii and first fishing charter. We are very understanding of the way fishing goes, and though we were hopeful we would catch something, we are not disappointed that we did not, rather we are disappointed with the lack of professionalism and care during our experience today. When spending nearly $1000 and 4 hours with a crew that is not even putting forth any effort, it is hard to walk away with any positive feelings. Half the time we were out, our deckhand was up on the bridge talking to our captain, neither of which could be bothered to actually speak to us, help us learn, or simply throw some bait on the lines.
Overall, more than anything, I am hopeful you take this feedback to help future customers who fall for the presentation put forth in your website. Unfortunately, as my father is aging, this was our family's last opportunity to have a fishing experience, and I am beyond disappointed at the amount of time and money we wasted this morning. I hope you do more to address this issue than just refunding me, as you have not just taken my money, but my time.

Don’t waste your money with these people! - 6 hours 350.00 per person, zero fish, plus the captain complained about the tip. Stay away from this charter. There is a reason their rating is mediocre Waste of money and time.

Low effort / High price - 350 per person for only a 3/4 day charter. One person caught a fish on the way back out of 6 people.
At least other places offer discounts for future bookings if you couldn’t catch anything.
2100 bucks made off 6 people.
No live bait only trolling the water for 6 hours.
And they have the audacity to say they work for tips. Nice meme. Tip for what? Low effort bait? Getting as many people on a charter so that there’s a high chance you don’t catch something? Nah I’m good. Don’t make my mistake. Do your research on where the fish are during your time here. And find a fishing charter that actually cares and puts effort in.
