Having a private driver... - Having a private driver is the way to go, we got to see things at our pace and got to see things that we wouldn’t have if we had gone the bus route, it was much less touristy

Great views! - We appreciate Erin taking us to beautiful places as she's very familiar with the city and culture. She knows Oahu like the back of her hand.

Awesome ! - This was our second time touring the island with Elf. The weather didn’t hinder our experience at all and we were able to take in some authentic Hawaiian sights and food. Elf is great company, knowledgeable about the island and its customs and I would recommend her to anyone visiting the island. If you want to see the best of the island with an amazing guide that is tailored to your needs and interests then Elf is your person. We enjoyed our day with you Elf and we will be back.

A GREAT TOUR - We did the custom tour with Elf. She was the best. We had a great time. This type of tour is much much better than taking a group tour with a bunch of other people in a bus or van. We got to go where we wanted and saw and experienced what we wanted and it was awesome. It was totally worth the money. Elf was a lot of fun and my wife and daughter totally loved her. She even hiked all the way to the top of Diamond Head with us. She made the tour interesting and fun. We recommend this tour wit Elf in the strongest terms possible.

Best day ever - My husband and i had the best experience on the island with Elf. We were only there for 1 day . We came in by cruise ship. She had amazing communication with us and picked us up at cruise ship and dropped us off back at ship. The day was the best we had the entire trip. We daw so amazing things and fell in love with Elf. Truly such a special person!

Better than Everyone Else’s Tours!!!! - What a guide! Elfie is that one friend that knows exactly where you want to go and what you want to do. From knowing where traffic would be, to what types of activity and shopping. She was borderline psychic when it came to knowing just what we wanted to do. She has a killer personality that really made the trip worth it. I can honestly say there would be no way I would visit Oahu without booking with her. If you are a down to earth person and aren’t a miserable human being there is a 0% chance that booking with Elfie would be a mistake. I don’t even like reviews, but if there’s a kind word you can think of it probably applies to her. If you want a great trip and a wholistic view of the island, I would chose this tour everytime!

Wonderful Memories - Awesome Day! - We have visited Oahu many times and have taken a variety of tours. With pandemic concerns, we decided to look in to something different and more private. We got a referral for Elf Adventure Tours and are very grateful. Elf is a very unique, warm human being with great energy! It was refreshing to get out of Honolulu and see some of the breathtaking natural beauty of the west and north shore. Elf knows places that the tour buses don’t take you to. Our tour was tailored exclusively to our wishes and desires. We had such an enjoyable time, laughing and sharing stories with Elf. The poke at the lunch place she recommended was fresh and delicious. Our hearts were filled with joy after a perfect day touring with Elf! Mahalo!

Disappointing, silent driver with limited knowledge - Unfortunately, we cannot recommend Elf as a tour guide. We have travelled extensively and participated in a large number of tours both group and privately. She was silent for the majority of the entire tour And would drop us off at the various stops without explaining where to go or what it was that we were seeing. We ended up wandering around looking for whatever it is that we were supposed to find (blowhole, lookout, temple). She would respond to a specific question but generally with impatience and on several occasions provided incorrect information and on one of the questions told me to look it up via Google. The stops that she chose to take us to were poorly planned and not at all a good use of our time. She spent almost an hour and a half taking us to the wrong food trucks while refusing to accommodate a request to stop and walk a bit in the park. She absolutely refused to accommodate our requests. We sent a list of things we would like to see and do prior to getting together, which we had compiled by looking at some of the similar group tours that were available in the area. She arbitrarily put some of those things on her tour but neglected to make any reservations or let us know that reservations needed to be made so we were unable to stop and do some of the things that we should’ve been able to do. She was generally very negative and complained a lot, Specifically that she had a sinus infection from the poor air quality and that the Chinese had bought up all the mom and pop storefronts in Waikīkī and put in the luxury stores in addition to many other negative comments generally. The major disappointment was that she absolutely provided no information or the information that she provided was incorrect. I had asked if she could provide some information about the history of the island, She responded “that It was identical to the colonisation of the United States”. This is absolutely untrue. When we asked about the story behind the Byoda Temple she sighed and then stated “ It’s a replica of a 200-year-old Japanese temple, don’t know when it was built- it is not a working Buddhist temple anyway” . Also untrue. Basically, she drove in silence and only answered any questions sullenly or with annoyance. It was the most uncomfortable and stressful tour I’ve ever taken.
